Hello friends, I am Sandeep and you are watching my youtube channel Heavenly journeys and today I bring to you my video on Sankri village Uttarakhand. Sankri is a beautiful village situated in the Uttarakashi district of Uttarakhand Bharat at the height of 6400 feet above sea level. Sankri is a village which is also very near to the famous Har Ki Dun valley and also serves as the base camp for the famous treks of Har Ki Doon valley, Runsara Tal, Kedarkantha winter trek and Rupin Pass trek. This area of Jaunsar Bawar as it is very close to Harkidoon valley and situated in the Govind National Park is also lies between Yamuna valley and Tons valley. The Himachal and Uttarakhand border is also very near to Sankri. Sankri village is a beautiful natural village which is a trekkers paradise and serves as the base camp for many treks and mountainous expeditions such as Kala Nag, White Peak, Swargarohini and Bander Pounch. The view of four beautiful Swargarohini Himalayan peaks is very magnificent from Sankri village. The famous Supin river which is considered as the original stream of Vedic Saraswati river is also originated from Swargarohini mountains in Har Ki Doon valley and later it joins with Rupin river to make the Tons river. In winter the area receives immense snowfall. There are many sightseeing points and activities which you can explore near Sankri such as River rafting in Tons river in Mori, jungle camping, winter treks of Kedarkantha, Har Ki Dun valley, Runsara Tal, Rupin Pass, Juda ka Talab, Rupin Supin river sangam at Netwar, visiting the beautiful villages such as Jhakhol, Sankri, Sor, Osla, Seema and Taluka, exploring the wild life in Govind National Park and village tour of Sankri village and enjoy its rich culture.
