Amazing.. so calm, didn't even poop! My horse came from central Canada to Maine arriving a 1 am. We Also let him loose in the barn... he said hello to all the horses (mostly fancy Lipizzans!), checked everything out, strolled into the only empty stall and starting eating his hay. The farm owner was very impressed - she didn't like Arabians. 2 months later she bought an older arab to use in lessons!

What a beauty Sanne is and I will have to look back at old videos of her. It is lovely to see she had a caring new home and they let her explore freely to be comfortable with all the new animals and smells. I thought at first she was frightened! I felt my eyes tear up. But then I saw her being free to look around and slowly she settled a bit. I blew my nose, rubbed my eyes.... felt a bit better when I saw her having the carrot. It's an emotional journey you take us on.... we have got to know the stable, the pasture, arena, muddy puddle, all this AND the horses. It's like saying 'Goodbye, Farewell' to .... A BFF..... She will be ok, she will find it interesting with all those SHEEP.... I hope the lambs don't disturb her and her beloved foal too much. How beautiful she is.

She is exploring and checking out her new surroundings which is a perfectly normal response to being in a new place. She even ate a carrot. If she were in distress, she would not have eaten, nor would she be so comfortable with a stranger touching her. She is adjusting perfectly well here. Of course she is excited. Its new. But she did great here. I bet she was perfectly at ease by the time she was in her stall.

She needs to know she will be ok in her new home simply by your visits and your reassurance from time to time!!! Animals always wonder why they have been removed from the love and care and security they have always known- i can see it in her eyes!!
