This performance won covers' night only because Geolier has a huge fanbase among Gen z who massively televoted for him. There was an uprising in the theatre, some in the audience left before he ended the song.

He won because he got the most of the votes, that’s it, and the on the final night he was boycotted by the press jury, registering the lowest score ever in Sanremo history of 1,5% and at same time the highest score ever recorded by the televoting audience of 60%. The victory was stolen from him.
