It's not as personal because it's not about you. In this version he is looking directly at you. Just you and him at a table in the dark. If you understand what has happened up to this point, if you have done a genocide run, and you know what him sitting next to the door means to him and the story it makes it even more personal. Especially since Sans is one of the characters aware of resets and deaths. He isn't talking to Frisk or your character. He's talking to YOU and the decisions YOU have made up to this point. It makes you have to think about your actions or past actions in the game. It's him threatening you to not kill anyone ever.

OMG I'M SO HAPPY TO SEE THAT!! Tbh this song was one of those I've cherished since joining the fandom REALLY long time ago. Along with its animation. And seeing this getting the most humorous, beautiful, just very-very talented and heartwarming remaster is just unbearable. I personally am a part of a rather non-judgemental, funny group. But I've also kept seeing dudes having a breakdown over ships, fanon, and Sanses being everywhere since I've joined and up to... today actually, lol. It probably is. Not even toxic, more like strict and obsessed with the original game. But overall I find it wholesome. 🌸

I just love the small intecrate details on the good ol' skelly bros, like sans wearing gloves and socks as opposed to the more fan interpreted version. Same goes for Papyrus actually wearing these black stockings over his bones, which just tells me how much care and thought was put into these models, since they are as accurate as they can be

The true masterpiece of "To The Bone" is that it maintains a cheery upbeat theme while also showing the darker side frequently and also adding references to more hidden parts of the game, and the new animations emphasizes all of what i've said further, and they got @CodaAnim to animate it as well. Amazing job JT Music and @CodaAnim!

I love how sans is portrayed here. In most scenes his smile is great and because he’s a funny man, but in the scenes where he’s alone, it’s a much more sinister smirk. Also him saying ‘here we go again’ is such a cool nod to his awareness, I didn’t realise until I just watched it again

4:29-4:38 is my favorite part! I love how Coda animated Sans' head movement before the awesome scenery change to the judgement hall and I also love how they animated Frisk's knife slashes synced to the lyrics in a way that, I don't know if it makes sense to you, makes sense in my mind. The deepened voice voice of Sans at 4:28 is so good. In the game, you don't hear his voice at all when his eyes go black. Here, you can hear his voice while his eyes are corrupted with his *voice* also being distorted. It's such a good detail, because in the game, it doesn't feel like you are talking to Sans when he does this expression. Truly why you should always be afraid when Sans gets down to business.
