The uniform you mentioned is common in Southern Russia and Caucasus mountains. It covers several nationalities (I don’t know all of them) but includes Chechens, Dagestani, Ingush. Cossacks uniform is a little different. They always have a red stripe that runs along their pant leg. National costumes are very varied in Russia. Sometimes even nearby villages have different pattern on their costumes.
