The lady prucchaka who did Kavyavachana portion was simply superb. She is gifted with a sonorous voice. If you had uploaded the full video, we could have heard and enjoyed her 3 more times. Alas!

Sri Iragavarapu Narasimhacharya, I can read very little Sanskrit, so I only understood a little bit of your message. Your comment is the first Sanskrit comment I have seen on KZbin so far. I am extremely pleased to see it and at the same time, saddened because I am missing out on this great language. Your message as well as this video has inspired me to learn sanskrit again. Thank you!

Thanks for this upload. Though not able to comprehend whole lot of it, the Deva-bhasha per se sounds so beautiful as it flows in the ears. Nice format, well presented and of course the erudition of Dr. himself

It quite unfortunate that the editors have no knowledge of the program that is why they have put the background music which is creating obstruction to listen. I earnestly request you to kindly remove the music to give this wonderful program a natural presentation.

I complained about the same thing. I know many such interesting discussions ruined by random loud background music and especially irritating for a professional video/audio editor like me.

Aprasthutha Prasangi should not interfere so frequently. They should poke their nose once in 8-10 minutes. Otherwise, the A.P.Pruchhaka becomes a nuisance. Please follow this in your future endeavours.

He may be a genius but Magic squares are easy requiring almost zero thought.. Many mentalist magicians no longer even perform them as people know from playing sudoku that there is a trick to it that is easy.
@ShreevatsaR Жыл бұрын
True, but the point of that segment/activity, or what's impressive about it, is not the task itself (making a magic square), but that the performer (avadhāni) is able to address the interruption without losing the thread of the poem being composed. Another task often chosen for this purpose is ghaṇṭā-vādana, where a bell is rung every once in a while at random times, and at the end the avadhāni must say how many times the bell was rung so far. (If you can follow Kannada, you can hear it a few times in the radio avadhana: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bqrMo4eIjbKdbqM) Here too (and with the aprastuta-prasanga: the person asking chatty questions) the idea is the same: while you're trying very hard to compose a poem (or several), whether you will be able to handle the interruption of such a mechanical task. And of the two (keeping count, vs filling a magic square), I think everyone would agree the latter requires at least slightly more thought.

You have truncated the video. Even if it is a 4 hour proceedings, you should not have applied scissors. You should have uploaded the full video. Big plantain leaf is spread in front of us. Payasa, palya, uppinakayi, kosambari are served. You are ordering us to finish the meal without asking you to serve Anna-Huli, Anna-Saaru, Majjige Huli, sweet, bonda, Anna-mosaru, fruit salad with ice-cream etc. Not happy.

Yes unfortunately, as this video is/was listed for purchase at some point, and not being the publisher/copyright owner, decided to keep it safe and only include excerpts. But there are many other avadhāna videos by this and other avadhānis posted online now (wasn't the case 10 years ago when this was first uploaded), so you will find something to be happy. :-) Many of them have the discussion etc in Kannada (e.g. this one is great: kzbin.info/www/bejne/b3rIqIiMotqXe68 ), but for those who cannot follow the language, there are a few e.g. this one is in Sanskrit and English: kzbin.info/www/bejne/lYrafnWeiZtgbcU
