The actual Gayatri mantra is written over there because the actual mantra is तत्सितुरवर्येण्यँ भर्गोदेवस्य धीमहि धियो योनः प्रचोदयात्। "ॐ भूर्भुवः स्वः" is like a prefix for a mantra because in Mahamrityunjay Mantra as well during chant we start the mantra from "ॐ भूर्भुवः स्वः".
