here's some lore for this, idk:
Reset after reset has taken its toll on Sans. He finds himself in the same hall he's been in for what feels like years. So many encounters with that kid...the feeling of being here before has manifested itself inside of Sans' head once again, and his apathy about what may happen next takes over for a little bit.
