I was given this set for my 21st birthday in 1989. I had the amp,cassette deck, tuner and CD player with rotel rl 850 speakers. The remote control was amazing in those days.I still have it and listen to music . It sounds so much nicer than my onkyo 7.2 set up.

I'm glad you showed this .Beautiful Stereo system. It's so clear and bassy! It was coming through my little small pom 🔊 speaker! I remember SANSUI was among the best of Japanese built technology, no complaints, I wish I owned one in the day. Worth watching 👍👏

harold alexis I agree with your view regarding the Sansui stereo. Yes, its very good memories! I think this series was made in late 80's or early 90's. I too wish I owned a similar setup at that time. Sansui of Japan had best technology of hifi audio and they made very beautiful stereo component systems. It was sad to knew that the company closed down in mid 90's.

That is a lovely rare Sansui stereo system with a good sound you have there. Good to see that it is in full working order & assume it has a remote control with it too? I remember these hifi stack systems in the 80's & early 90's. I have a JVC stack stereo system at home similar to yours except I have the JVC DAT & Minidisc recorder connected up as well. Keep that stereo system nice now.

Matthew Lovell I agree with your view about the Sansui. Good memories! Does your JVC Minidisc recorder still work nicely? I have a Sony MD recorder which I bought brand new. It was an award winning model and worked fine but went out of order some years later. I tried to get it repaired but the technician was unable to repair it.

@@janath9118 Thank you for your reply. Yes my JVC Minidisc recorder is still working nicely along with the JVC DAT recorder too. Both have their original remote controls which still work. Shame your Sony Minidisc recorder couldn't be repaired, have you replaced it from eBay perhaps?

Please keep them safely and use them carefully because those beautiful machines cannot be found nowadays. No, I bought my Sony MD recorder from a local agent in 2000. I want to send it to the local authorised dealer for repairing it but at the moment this covid pendemic problem prevents me from doing it. I will try later. Thanks much for your reply!

Tengo funcionando el amplificador, la casetera y el lectotor de CD. No he podido arreglar el ecualizador y el radio parece que tienen daños en el microprocesador. Los encontré tirados en una lavandería. Los encontré sin parlantes ni tocadiscos. Actualmente funcionan con unas bocinas Fisher. El sonido es increible. Vivo en Barranquilla Col.

Он того, поверьте, не стоил (да и не было там ничего заоблачного). Марка Sansui кончилась в середине 80-х. Затем они гнали на европейские и американские рынки (*) откровенный пластик с дешманской начинкой. Например, STK4913 в показанном усилителе - это, если не ошибаюсь, 1987 год - как раз когда дела пошли вниз. Впрочем, в Европе Sansui такой ширпотреб продавал и в начале 80-х, наряду с достойной техникой - вероятно, тем репутацию и подпортили. Советский рынок был, конечно, своеобразен - но "кто есть ху" на нем знали, и переплачивать за такое не желали.

La fábrica SANSUI y varias que fabricaban este tipo de equipos deberían volver a fabricarlos , estéticamente idénticos y con los mismos componentes ( cassette , CD , tornamesa , equalizador gráfico etc. ) Pero más modernos , por ejemplo : con Bluetooth y DAC , sería extraordinario , yo lo compraría inmediatamente sin pensarlo dos veces y creo que muchísimas personas en el mundo harían lo mismo

back to the times when stereo systems were actually alive. Modern hifi component have great sound quality but looks terrible from a design point of view. Just a single led saying 'hey, I've been switched on'. Definitely miss these items

Stereo system in 80s was more like an art. Big beautiful machines. But a real HiFi system today is also not ugly, just the cheaper once are plastic ugly dongle's. Then the mono bluetooth speakers is a joke. How can people accept the terrible sound. I miss 80s of many reasons... Everything was more alive, people to, now sitting with their phones and say nothing

いつの時代のミニコンポかよく分からないが、おそらくは相当前２５年からそれ以上前の商品ではないかと思う。まだ壊れず使えているところが驚きでもある。これより前の世代のモデルかもしれないが、サンスイのミニコンポはその音質には素晴らしいものがあった。デザインはイマイチに感じられても、音の良さでは当時の他のメーカーのミニコンと比べても、ピカ１ではなかったかと思う。特にサックスの高音域のピンと張った透明感が素晴らしかった。あの時のあの音が忘れられなかったため、単品コンポであるが後にサンスイのアンプとスピーカーや、サンスイと高音域の音色が酷似しているテクニクスのスピーカーを中古で購入した今の私があるのである。

I had a similar rack system in the mid-eighties by Sansui. The cd and turntable quit, but replaced it with a Sony Cd, and a Pioneer turntable. The receiver and tuner and equalizer are still kicking. Best investment I ever made.

The car guy This Sansui model came in late 80's or early 90's. During that time all were made in Japan. If you found this model at cheap price, buy it if everything works. If you want to know whether this model got remote facility, check the set for the small remote sensor window most probably located close to the power buttons.
