Great murmuring among the audience as the lead actress envelope was opened and read. And the cries of shock when Hughes was crowned. This was at the peak of will Lucci win or not.

They didn’t forget, one life to live was shut out completely that year. They didn’t have a single Emmy nomination during the telecasted event that year. Shows mentioned at the beginning were shows with one nomination or more, one life to live had zero, therefore were not mentioned
