My family has been going there for over 60 years, before I was born. I remember going as a kid/teen in the 80's & early 90's, it's the best imo!! You have to plan to attend the theme park someday Jordan, it's awesome. Many childhood memories and I've now created new ones with my own children there. For no fee, children can send their letters to Santa every Christmas season and get a response from Santa, Mrs. Claus or Santa's Elf

They will do a special postmark the month of December. if you send them your Christmas cards in bulk. I do that every year for my nephew using a holiday stamp, and he loves his "Santa mail".

I love Christmas and Christmas inspired places. Like all year-round Christmas stores. I love Christmas so much I got married at Christmas time. (Ded 14). Everything was all lit up with Christmas light and it was so happy and colorful. I would love to go to Santa Claus IN. I love the Candy castle too. Thanks, Jordan, this was awesome. You were in my neck of the woods! I still sometimes call it Santa Claus Land on accident. It’s a great theme park with world renowned wooden roller coasters, owned by a local family for decades. Also, many people send their holiday cards to the post office because the Santa Claus Indiana postmark is very decorative on the envelopes. That little post office handles massive amounts of Christmas mail.

Hi Jordan, I needed this today, Thank You, so much!!! When you were in the Post Office, it sure brought back some special memories of my little boy Ricky. We would walk to the P.O. and mail his letters to Santa. My son passed when he was 7 1/2, he would be your age now. So watching you & listening to your excitement of this place really tickles me!!! We went to Santa Claus about 12 years ago. I wanted all my Christmas cards stamped from Santa Claus, IN. We stayed across from Holiday World at the Santa Claus Inn or Lodge, not sure of the name. I luv how every store is in keeping with the towns name. I think the hardware store is Kris Kringle Hardware!!!! Lovely little town. I still wear my shirt from there every Christmas season. It says “Believe” !!!! PS. HOLIDAY WORLD is awesome!! I luv it much better than Kings Island!!!

Richmond Indiana might be a good stop. Some of the most important early jazz recordings were made at Gennett studio. The studio is long gone, but you can visit the site and stand on the spot where Louis Armstrong made history. Richmond also has a museum with mummies!

This was fun. But not the first theme park in the U.S. It opened August 3, 1946. Knotts Berry Farm in Buena Park, CA opened in 1920.

This town is close to my home and the park is a frequent outing for everyone in my family! They even stay open thru the fall which is when I'm taking my grandchildren this year! How cool that you paid our little gem a visit! Holiday world was called Santa Claus Land when I was younger. It changed it's name sometime between the 80's and now. I can't remember exactly when lol It has a section of the park that is themed for Christmas,( obviously) Halloween,, Fourth of July and Thanksgiving. It also has a water park. Super fun!

Wow, you're close to my neck of the woods! I'm in New Albany, IN which is about an hour away but I've been to Holiday World many times. Its a nice theme park with a great water park if you're into theme/water parks, you should definitely go there atleast once. They have a couple nice roller coasters as well but nothing too crazy.

I moved to Santa Claus over 3 years ago! Love it! I live in Christmas Lake Village. The main lake is Christmas Lake. I decorate my house year-round in Christmas splendor, including 8 Christmas trees of various sizes, 6 Santas and a Mrs. Claus, 10 decorated sleds, a goat sled from Denmark, a wreath on every door and lots of antiques and holiday decor. Wish I knew you were in town! Ho! Ho! Ho!.
