Always loved the JK. I had the pumpkin/city line version back late 80's. To me it's close to a perfect shaped deck. It's got everything I need in a shape. Also beautiful graphics always. Enjoy man

The truck discussion is important. The issue I've found with shaped decks is the width isn't always the width over truck which is important for the truck size. I wish they have the width over truck dimensions. Welcome skateboards gives a recommended trick size which has served me well.

Yeah, it’s pretty much a 10” deck, but only at one point around the middle, the 159 seems to work nice as the deck where the wheels go is shaped in coming up at around 8.75” At the end of the day it’s personal preference. Some riders like the wheels outside and some tucked in.

Keen to see your next setup either the new Eric winkowski shape more of a popsical but with Cruz missile 2 or the Eric Dressen rose pink reissue deck with the Cruz missile 2. I can’t get either of these but I will probably get the Kendall snake.

Thanks for the vid, love my Santa Cruz shaped. Have you ever tried Indy 215s ? Like you I generally prefer 159s on my 10” winkowski but I just bought some 215s second hand for a laugh but already love them! and think I will stick with them as my main ride (which has surprised me) . Really buttery carves and grinds in the bowl. They look a bit crazy but just feel so good. Give em a try sometime!

Have you tried the powell dragon wheels yet ? I use them for street and really love them espacially because they grip incredibly well and they for me reduce the risk of sliding out on wood but I dont really notice a difference with grinds which imo is also a + would love to hear your oppinion on them : )

With a tailsaver you could have it much longer imo. Until the glue fails or tail concave gets too mushy

The Winkowski Dope Planet is pretty cheap over here at the moment. I notice you barely rode it, at least in the videos, and favoured the kendall. What is you long term thoughts on the dope vs the snake?

Hey dude, yeah love the DP deck, it’s in the latest pool video as I like to ride it in the pool. I find The Kendal and the DP are very similar, the back half is identical as is the concave and wheelbase. So I guess it’s all about if you’d like a touch more nose ? I think I’m just more used to the Kendall and I like having a snake on my board 😂

Yeah dude, well spotted, I used to put them the ‘wrong way round’ but I later noticed they are slightly angled to fit the concave. So they slide and wear more evenly this way round ‘as suggested in the instructions 😂

Yeah, that’s what I thought to start with. I used to put them round the other way as it looked better, but they are slightly sloped to fit the concave. So I now put them on as suggested in the instructions as it makes them slide and wear more even.
