Pretty sure it's Marshall amps, AxFx for effects, and I know Johnny uses an old, hard to find power amp. His tone is just insanely perfect.

Johnny mentioned he used a Soldano X88R Preamp, VHT 2502 Power Amp combination going through a Marshall cab w V30s boosted with a Voodoo Lab Sparkle Drive for Cruz 3. And I believe the Soldano/VHT combination stayed the same since Cruz 2. For the first album I believe it was a JCM800. For Archie, his base tone was a Bogner Ecstacy with a Bogner cab for a long time, occasionally bringing out Marshalls too. And yeah they used AxeFx for effects

Archie is one of those dudes who over-produces his vocals so much in studio that he can't match what's on record, live.
