It's the production of this album that gives it that absolute, pure, gritty but clean 80's sound. This would NOT have sounded out of place in '88 or '89. A proper, and true throw back album!!

I'm wondering how you managed to get stuff done and ended up with a brilliant CD with all the nonsense and alcohol haha

That's the problem with most music today...too serious. People are forgetting about fun and party bands. Everyone is so serious and depressed. It's time for this music to comeback!!!

Kevin McCarthy I totally agree! This is probably the reason why I enjoy these guys so much. They bring back a period in the music history I wish I had lived! We really need something like that. It's a comeback but it's fresh and effortless!

I did live it. Ha ha and remember most of it and the world needs it again so bad. I love that at least a portion of today's youth can see that music needs to help you forget or get away from your problems in life. You don't have to mirror life in your lyrics! We need bands to give life the middle finger and live fast and party hard. Cause if anything, I can say at 44 years old, I had some damn good times and lived my youth to the fullest! Before you know it you have bills and a spouse and children to be "responsible" for and all the freedom to enjoy youth is gone!

Kevin McCarthy People are in a totally different vibe these days. The youth gonna wild period seems to be seen as something wrong now. People seem to believe that the best thing to do is to tame ourselves according to what other expected from us but they, most of the time, forget that we are different and we need to take risks! What I want to say is we don't need necessarily to party hard, drink tons of alcohol or do stupid things, we need to do what makes us happy regardless from what others think. For example, I don't drink anything acholic (now you're gonna think I'm lame but it's ok haha) but I do things most people are afraid of or they think I shouldn't (like my dad). For example, I love travelling, I'm totally into backbacking, new adventures and experience new cultures so I save my money to do things like that. For most people I should save money for the future or they think I'm too crazy to go to a place where I have idea what is waiting for me (but this is actually the most exciting thing about the whole experience!). People are too afraid of stepping out of their confort zone so they end up not living their life to the fullest (it doesn't matter what "fullest" means to each one of them), they just live an ordinary life. I don't want that so maybe this is the part I agree with you. When we're just trying to fit in we might end up selling what could be the most precious thing we could have ever had. Santa Cruz could be playing something else but they didn't and every time I see a video of their live performances I really want to go to their live concert because we can see the difference when you do what you want (or what you were meant to) not what people expect you to. Now I'm thinking about going all the way from Brazil to Finland by myself to see Santa Cruz live in the Summer. I might not be able to do it but I can say at least I tried. My friends might look at me and think I'm crazy (you might be think that know!) but the difference between me and most people is that I just don't care. Am I being selfish? Maybe but since I'm not married and I don't have kids I have to do this type of 'crazy' things while I can or maybe people should be a little selfish sometimes if it means they'll be happier. Maybe what our world needs are brave people willing to take risk and do what they really want!

Ha ha. Cool, do your kinda wild n crazy! I never try to say you have to drink or do drugs, but it is the only cheap and legal way for a lot of people to step away from their comfort zone and get away from the mental anxiety that people feel is proper social behavior today.
