I'm impressed by the power of BNSF engines...........the upper train seems to be without end !!!!!!!

I know back in the early ninetys used to see Santa Fe with mid train helpers that where controlled from the lead unit. Great for slack action in the couplers.

This is actually BN junction. Santa Fe Junction is on the other side of the hill to the left. Both great locations for trains. The BNSF coal train is going down the Ft. Scott Sub to Wolf Creek Power Plant.

And the coal train (I left the comment before it had finished!). :)

Thanks. I've wondered - how do they handle the controlling of multiple units? Does the throttle, engine brake, and reverser levers in the lead engine also control those functions for all the rest (at least those linked together)?

The container train along the top has the two pusher engines on the back - do they leave the train at some point and that's why they're not at the head end? Great video!
