Santa & Holiday Trains | Conway Scenic Railroad

In most cases the Christmas season begins for most right after Thanksgiving. This was the case at Conway Scenic being there first weekend of Santa and Holiday trains to Bartlett and Conway.
In this video you will see various trains throughout the day. We will chase 216 to Bartlett on the 12 00P train. This was a very unusual consist containing the Mt. Washington, Chocorua, and the Hattie Evans. We will also see 1751 with the Notch Train set on the 11 30A and 3 30P Conway trains. The most notable consist you’ll see in this video is with the 573. It will pull a flatcar containing Santa’s sleigh and 8 reindeer as well as a caboose with Mrs. Claus and Santa. The 573 follows 1751 to Conway.
I would like to point out that 7470 was fired up in the roundhouse that day. However it never actually left the roundhouse like we were told was going to happen.
This video is also my first that was filmed with my new Panasonic V770. So bare with me it was my first time using it for railfanning so it’s not fantastic.
