I seemed to notice something when you said in the description that Rewrite is a digital manifestation of god. While technically, this isn't true, he is a false angel of some sorts, so I can see the god confusion. Though, this still works out, with one interpretation being 'false god/literal satan' thing, but it could also be 'satanic hedgehog v satanic hedgehog'. (I'm quite sorry if this seems nitpicky, I just noticed something and not only wanted to half correct you, but also just found this comparison funny, like a rivalry of sorts, like your original interpretation)

balances the other's voice, which isn't as bassy. i tried bumping him up an octave to see how he would sound but he sounds odd singing consistent high notes and sounds more natural in his lower range (but my mixing might be at fault, my bad!)

i do not think it is a mixing problem, even if i think it a bit odd . im not sure if "satanos"'s chromatic lends itself to songs like this, especially with slide notes and such, as his overall tone is bit muddy and hard to make out . to be honest, it was impossible for me to make out the First Verse especially .
