This relationship and the storyline was a gamer changer. I was first attracted to Glee as a theatre kid, and upon seeing the promo for it, I was like “omg this is gonna be my show!” And I became so obsessed. However, it wasn’t until the Brittana storyline that I became as obsessed as I ended up. Im a lesbian, and I’m femme. This was the first time I saw a femme lesbian couple on tv. And this wasn’t a couple you’d see for a few scenes on some show on some obscure tv channel that no one has heard of, this was on Glee, on Fox. So it was huge. I’ve known my sexuality my whole life and it always burdened me. I had really bad internalized homophobia from age 10-16ish. I was 17 when this show came out, and I “came out” at 19, 18-19. It’s a process and not just a one time thing. I had tried coming out before to my mother, but she was in denial/and or tried to tell me I wasn’t gay and I was “fine”. Because of course the opposite of homosexual is “fine”, right? Yeah. I ended up being in a situation sooo similar to Santana and Brit’s at the same time it aired. Like uncanny. And long story short, it helped me gain this new level of confidence in myself that I never had before. I’m so thankful for this being a thing. I was obsessed with Naya for a few years after this. .... RIP Naya. I love you 💕 Just had a flashback of writing fa mail. I’ve been wondering if I actually took the time to do that. I don’t remember if I addressed it to Ryan Murphy or Naya. But it was a long letter.

For Barty fans who don't understand Santana's reaction, Brittany was upset Santana didn't choose to sing w/her the first time so Britt was upset and used Artie to make Santana jealous. Later on she asked Santana to talk about their situation and feelings for eachother and finally Santana tells her how she really feels but Brittany rejects her cause she's too nice to just dump Artie but tbh why stay with someone if you love someone else? So yes Santana was upset because Brittany was the one who brought the topic up and now she got an answer and still rejected her after everything. Brittany was playing both Santana and Artie at this point.

Unknowingly of course. People aren't looking at this from a third person point of view. Brittany was leading both Artie and Santana on because she really loved Santana and she felt she couldn't just dump Artie for no reason cause he was nice to her. So she cheated. People will say Santana manipulated her but in reality Brittany always went back to Santana. They were always sleeping with eachother way before they both got in relationships so Brittany wasn't just going to stop for Artie.

Um, no. Santana was playing Brittany. This whole season was about her manipulating Brittany; Brittany actually liked Artie. Santana manipulated her feelings because she couldn't deal with how she felt. Brittany started out trying to make Santana jealous with Artie, but Artie also used Brittany to make Tina jealous. I don't care about Bartie, but Santana kept telling Artie things about Brittany to sabotage their relationship. Don't ever say that Brittany was the one playing people because that was Santana

Yes, that line was biphobic- But when looking into Santana’s character, the line really had nothing to do with Britt’s orientation and more to do with frustration with herself, *she* doesn’t understand. It doesn’t make what she said to her ok, not at all, but Santana hasn’t fully realized that she’s *not* into dudes yet- and doesn’t understand that Brittany’s experience is different- Brittany *is* into dudes *and* is into girls.

You're confused about the situation. Brittany is only with Artie because Santana chose to not talk about her feelings for Brittany to Brittany cause Santana was scared and confused and kept being passive about the topic so Britt went and jumped to Artie but at the end of the day Britt still had feelings for Santana and now Santana just told her how she really feels like Brittany had asked her too a couple times already and the first thing Brittany does is reject her because she was too nice to dump Artie. she ends up going back to Santana and Artie finds out.

santana was selfish about brittany. thats not always bad when u love someone but she manipulated brittany into cheating on someone else who brittany loved (artie), and who was supposed to be their good friend, w/o thinking of his feelings. Santana also basically laughed at how gullible brit was while priding herself on how easily she was able to manipulate her. i like santana but she sometimes goes too far
