Technically, very good (not great). The problem with this performance and most of today’s musicians is the absence of the soul and passion that made Santana and most musicians of the 60’s and 70’s so great.

I agree. First of all, wrong style of guitar. Secondly guitarist was too robotic in his notes. I understand not everyone can play like Santana, but if you're giving homage to him, at least do his style. Keyboardist kept on repeating musical patterns. That's where you mention the soul is missing. In the original you can FEEL the emotion of the instruments. Rhythm section was good. Except leave the theatrics at home and just concentrate on sounding great. The singing group threw me off. No female singers in the old Santana songs. Overall, a B grade. Good. But could be better. I know stage presence can be intimidating. But the music itself should loosen you up. Minus the drugs, of course. Lol.

Hey old school, sounds like you can dish it out but not take it. If I sounded negative, it was aimed at you and the other so-called-critics, not the kids...and yes, these were just college seniors sounding pretty damn good. I suppose you could get up there and sound just like Santa? Your types just can't give anyone a break. I saw Santana in the sixties. We're they superb? No! But we just chilled out and enjoyed the music without criticizing, something you should learn to do.
