I am 55, heard this when I was (just guessing, 19). The age when your hormones rule your mind, your life. And into this world came rose. You know a woman is so mysterious to you at that age, unless you've lived a debauched youth. She was this mysterious creature that smelled so fine, looked and felt so good and was so warm on a cold night in the mountains. My word, my heart aches all these years later. Enjoy your youth, lock up the memories in your heart and mind, travel and have fun!

There are so many people who can play this note for note, play through the same equipment and get a great backing to accompany them with this and other Santana tunes, but nobody can make it sound like this man.Gifted and unique in musical terms. Awesome.

I completely agree, and I would say it is because he is such a beautiful soul and because he plays directly from it, that makes the sound ... he is translating his soul essence into sound.

I could never understand how Mr. Santana' playing could be so captivating, it being so simple as it apparently was. I guess he just had something fundamental to say to all of us, and he certainly said it. All of us understood it, and then the 1970s drew to their end, as they were supposed to do.; moments of purity, they do not last long. Then, we all had a business to go about, still that moment of purity lingers in our souls, and lives on. How shall we come to terms with it? It certainly was a unique chance. Our own life, is unique, and Mr. Santana contributed to make it so.

Having played a little bit of guitar, I can't even describe how brilliant this is. There is a mixture of tempo, melody, and precision, but no pedantic strive for perfection. I fully appreciate now the kind of genius required to play like that.

A Santana masterpiece. I'm always curious to see how he performs it live. It's largely always true to it's original version, but Santana's jazzy live performances have often given each live delivery a different, but very acceptable stamp on this Santana classic. This is a great "kick-back-to" type song, as so many of his are.

But when I heard this song played loudly as a ringtone from my mothers' mobile phone I said "Damn, Mum! What's the name of this awesome song?!". And now I sit here at home on my chair and listen to Sinatra. I bet Sinatra was a freat artist and I'd like to make a timetravel to visit one of his concerts. It's awesome!

This is a special gift to us the ones that are here and the ones that have passed on, but we still remember. I too was 16 when this rolling thru my mind and soul. We had it good in the 70's. I have always loved this song. It was a popular song when I was in High School. The bands always played it at the dances. I went to a school that was about 60 percent Latin. I went to a concert recently at a Fair and the guitar player (not Carlos), the drummer, keyboard player/singer were playing. I got the dumstick signed by the guitar player and drummer. It was great! It didn't sound as good without Carlos of course but still a wonderful concert!!!
