Santanyí Market & Cala Santanyí with Es Pontas - Excursion in Mallorca

We visit the market in Santanyí and then continue to Cala Santanyí, where we visit the Miardor Es Pontas and the Equilibrio South before eating Pa Amb Oli at the Platja de Santanyí. On the way back we make a short detour to Cala Pi and Llucmajor.

In Santanyí there is a market every Wednesday and Saturday, which we want to visit. The market is spread throughout the town centre around the church in the streets and offers local specialities as well as handicrafts and many other things. Afterwards, we continue to Cala Santanyí, which can be reached in a good 10 minutes by car. There we first do the short hike to the Mirador Es Pontas and to the Equilibrio South, before we eat some Pa Amb Oli down on the beach of Cala Santanyí and enjoy the weather with an ice-cold beer.
After this little lunch break, we make a short detour to Cala Pi on the way back to Platja de Palma to enjoy the view above the bay and the beach at the Instagram rock. I have no idea what this place is really called, but since it's one of the most popular Instagram photo spots on the island, I just always call it that ;-) From Cala Pi, it's just a short hop to Llucmajor, where we stroll through the town centre around Plaça Espanya before heading back to our flat on Platja de Palma.
