Good morning I'm from Austin Texas. You gave me a great idea on the way you set up your bait. I never seen anybody do that to a piece of bait . Thanks for the great video

@@TrehanCreekOutdoors can you use 2 hooks and 2 baits and still be able to use the cigar float?
@Jeffroson783 жыл бұрын
@@TrehanCreekOutdoors basically just adding one hook with another kind of bait.. I like using two different things like cutperch on one and chicken breast on another.. just seeing what the best way would be to keep them floating from the bottom
@TrehanCreekOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
@@Jeffroson78 We need to let the channel owner answer this one, but personally I can't see why a double hook system would present any problems, assuming the baits and hooks didn't weigh so much that they pull the float down to the bottom. Lot's of catfishers in Mississippi use double hook set ups. Some think they work better than single hooks. Can't really say they do myself, as I normally only use a one hook setup.

Would you rig a live bream the same way?

is the Santee Cooper rig effective for bank fishing??
@davidmaxey6566 жыл бұрын
Noe Cortez I was wondering the same thing
@maces14055 жыл бұрын
@@davidmaxey656 It is effective from the bank. Basically the cat doesn't have to slow down and find the bait at the bottom. It has a "eat and move" presentation.

Or you can put your weight at the bottom and tie the hook higher up with a dropper knot with no need for a float?? Thats how all the old timers fish the dams for catfish here...4oz sinker at the bottom with some shad tied above it....I always see youtube people put their sinker higher up on the line and their hook at the end of the line but all the old timers here do the opposite...lets your bait freefloat up off the bottom as far as you want it to
