Santee State Park Cypress Loop Campground

This video is intended to compliment the South Carolina State Parks website campground information. The information on their website about each campsite is useful in choosing a site, but their dimensions for equipment size are not always correct. And they don’t show how good or bad the access to the site might be. I have found a ride through the sites on a bicycle to be helpful. We spent a weekend at Santee State Park in November 2018. The park was not very busy, so I had the opportunity to ride through most of the sites. There are two campground loops. I have a video for each loop. This is the Cypress View Loop with sites 1-48. The video is a little long (OK, maybe a lot), but I think you get a pretty good feel of what each site looks like. The sites are in order, so you can skip to the ones you want to see. I hope this helps.

I would like to stay at Dreher Island and do a review. Every time I have tried to schedule a stay, they have been booked up. Hopefully some time this year.

@@clemsoncamper thanks so much. My Son is in a bass tournament the end of April and he booked the very last site and I am trying to find out if there is enough room for a tent along side our rv. The site looks very close to the ones beside them. Love your videos! Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the drive through. We are a 38 foot 5th wheel. I’m having trouble deciding between 21, 23, 102, and 150. Any thoughts?

I prefer the Cypress View campground (sites 1-48). The sites are easier to get into and seem to be quieter.
