I disagree with Nagve Mahamaya. As per records, the village had a deity named Santeri. Bhagavati was transferred to Marcela and is worshipped as Bhagavati Chimulkarin. One of the instances could be that Bhagvati was a later addition to Nagve panchayatan. Probably a merchant or GSB family from Chimbel might have settled in Nagve and established a small shrine to her.
