4/25/24, the original water filter was made for a company called Nikken, I had several of those, the ph of the water is alkaline and the magnetics makes this the best water for our human bodies and our houseplants and pets. I’m glad to know it’s still available under another brand.

So correction, the it does filter out arsenic up to 99.8%. As far as viruses go, it just obviously means you shouldn't try to filter water from the river

Thanks for your review. You answered some questions that I had, and some that I never even had in mind. But it left me with a lot of questions too. We just got through a whole lot of lockdown, where stores were closed, and even when they were open, if you weren’t well, there was no way that a person couldn go in there. So of course, I’m wondering about how easy the pre-filter is to clean. Because that’s what’s gonna give out first. Have you got any experience with this yet? I hope you’ll get back to me about that. :-)

Hey, great video! I was wondering if you could post a video on how to clean and change filters?
@aaronhd59923 жыл бұрын
Thanks! It's not practical to clean a carbon filter because you would need to burn it off in a fire or oven. Changing them, however, is described by Santevia. Are you still having trouble? I could make a follow-up video if it's confusing

Hey Paul, I would love to be able to recommend something for this, but I am still gathering data before I can make a decisive video about it. Let me know if you try a showerhead that works especially well! Good luck with the dryness

Just saw your comment. The Aquasmart shower filter #390 works great and made in Canada. I never knew how strong the chlorine was in the water until it was gone the first time of use and I wasn't tired afterwards also.

How do you feel like Reverse Osmosis Water? How does the taste compare to it?
@aaronhd59925 жыл бұрын
Reverse Osmosis water tastes much more like distilled water that has sat in the air for a bit. Basically like nothing. This water has a sharp cool taste because of the alkaline minerals, and that makes all the difference there. There's no reason why you couldnt put those stones in a reverse osmosis filter setup though. Ultimately I don't think taste is an effective way to determine water quality when you're comparing the difference between trace quantities of fluoride or arsenic though
@TheTequilaguru5 жыл бұрын
oh yeah I know, I was basically just comparing tastes, and not the stupid neurotoxin fluoride, or arsenic for that matter. So you're saying that the stones are what gives the water its sharp taste?
@atuvelman4 жыл бұрын
You mention "six stage" filter- I don't see this on amazon or on their website. They do have a "five stage" filter, which does NOT filter fluoride. Are you positive that the multi layer filter filters fluoride? Because they sell a separate filter that's specifically for fluoride.
@aaronhd59924 жыл бұрын
The 5-stage filter comes in 2 versions, and one of them is marked for Fluoride. If it's not written on the product, then that's not the right one! The 6th stage is the microfilter before the 5-stage filter :)
@atuvelman4 жыл бұрын
@@aaronhd5992 It appears you are mistaken, or conflating the two designs. There is 1) a fluoride filter, and 2) a five stage filter, which does not filter fluoride. www.santevia.com/fluoride-filter/ www.santevia.com/5-stage-filter/

Berky filters better, but in that process robs you of minerals. Berky is stainless steel, that’s a plus

You can buy the stones and add them in a glass jar after your Berky cleans the water.

@jdawgdabeast2 жыл бұрын
@@rawlr9066 I do remember doing more research after this post. I remember finding that the berkey does keep the basic mineral content intact. Went with berky. Does the job, no complaints. Had a santevia before as well. Also does the job and probably has higher mineral content, but I just don't like the fact that it's plastic
