Santorini-Kamari

Kamari is one of the busiest holiday destinations on Santorini and is located on an elongated dark-colored pebble beach on the east coast of the Greek volcanic island. From Fira it is a fifteen minute drive to Kamari and the distance is about ten kilometers. It is close to Santorini airport, so the transfer time from the airport is short. You can also reach the resort by public transport from Fira. A daily bus service runs between the two places between 07:30 and 23:00.
Along the beach it is pleasantly busy in the evening on the boulevard of Kamari. Along this line are the bars, taverns and restaurants. Rent a car to discover Santorini yourself during your holiday and Kamari is an excellent and central base for this. The elongated sandy beach, covered with dark lava sand, is a magnet for holidays. At bars, hotels and restaurants, the beach is organized with sunbeds and umbrellas. The blue and white church of Kamari is worth seeing, but the Agios Pagratios chapel is more interesting on the other side of the road. From this chapel you have a beautiful view of the holiday destination and the sea.
