Melissa ended up with Bronchitis, but she is on the mend now. These light shows are pretty new to me since we didn't do that when I was a kid. 2025 goals for sure - hang out Beingbethunes! That would be epic.

Rosalie's friend Zoey was excited to be in a KZbin video. The drive thru ones are cool, but it just goes to fast and you don't want to hold everyone up going 1 mile an hour. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving!

Illumination is such a cool light display. Very unique from other light shows we have seen. I can see why it would be a bit more expensive. Glad to see Rosalie made it through the whole event. Hope y’all had a merry Christmas!

I made sure we got there earlier than ZooLights. She is like Cinderella but has to be home and asleep by 8:30. I still wonder how long it takes them to set it up.

The one good thing about winter and these activities, it's so dark so early that you don't have to stay up late to enjoy it! Got to love some s'mores! You provide so many great opportunities for your kids - it's wonderful to see. Yes, LED's are significantly more efficient than the older incandescents!

I'm glad I upgraded my camera because this Sony Camera does way better in low light than my gopro or my phone (no floating green orbs). I never did this type of things as a kid so its we are experiencing it together. You'll be creating these memories for your new family soon!

The opening alone shows it’s worth it! Holy smokes! This looks way better than anything around us! Soooo magical! Zoe is so lucky to make a Santos appearance! Good job Rosalie!!! Staying awake says it all 😅

This one was head and shoulders above the rest, but it was pricey. It was almost $50 for adults and almost $30 for kids. Rosalie loves Zoey and glad she has a little one to play with. Usually she is with adults.

Reminds me alot of the Brookgreen Gardens light show we go to in South Carolina. This one is a lot more laser-y though. Good job Rosalie! I'm sure having a friend there helped as well. Yummy S'mores! Did you wash it down with some Hot Chocolate?.... even though it was 50!

I do like the laser component. But I wonder how airplanes above think of these shows - must drive them nuts. Yea, I'm glad Rosalie made it, when she is done - the family is done. It's no longer 50. Cold enough to freeze the hot chocolate.

Zoey was the new leader and we made it out of there safe and sound 🤣. Goes a lot smoother in the edit. This may be our favorite one in the area.

Definitely thought this one was better. Seemed to be one amazing exhibit after another. Nice that it was a walk through instead of drive through like it had been before. Like you said, you could go more at your own pace.

Probably a 45 min experience for most families. But with filming and getting s’mores, it took us 1 1/2 hours. The huge tree projection was my favorite.

We attended this event for the first time this year and enjoyed it. I thought it was pricey until I compared it to the Chicago Botanic Garden which charges more per person plus a parking fee. The arboretum is a steal in comparison.

Oh man, I figured that this one was the most expensive. I do eventually want to go to the Chicago Botanic Garden. We'll go next year, and thanks for the tip so I don't get a sticker shock.
