This has gotta be the best episode of Vaad till now, Dr Balram Shukla is a true scholar, whenever you meet a intellectual of a certain field its hard to understand the kind of mastery he possesses of that subject as we generally don't have the base to experience it but when you meet a linguistic scholar, his mastery on the language becomes so eminent that even a country peasant could differentiate, agar Hindi m bole toh yeh podcast sun ke ek dam mantramukdha ho gaye Arihant Bhai Ram Ram!

Knowing it or use of it is not a fault.

Very informative, complex processes explained in lucid style. In Tamil Nadu on shop boards one can see numerous Samskrit words like veshti, selai, paatram, varnam, vasana dhravyam, pushpam, vyaparam ,etc. Common people use words like vahanam, dinam, nityam, annam, paanam saavaksam, nidaanam, gayu, aakasam, alayam, etc. Aasha is used to mean desire, not hope. Pramodam is pronounced pramadam. There are numerous such words. Some scholars have reported that some words were used in ancient Tamil works first. Mayil (mayura) is one such.

This is one of the best Podcast I listened to on KZbin so far, Now I am a Fan of Dr. Balram Shukla but to revive Sanskrit and Save Hindi we need to put more effort, this effort has to come from both government and people, currently union government is pretty much comfortable in English, by announcing Hindi day or Sanskrit day, nothing will change Hindi and Sanskrit will die, no can save them, with this minuscule effort We need to work from top to bottom at same time. From Government to people at same time. The government needs to build institutions for children and adults at same time where they can learn Sanskrit. 1. First Sasnkrit Speaking Institute should be established where people can learn Sanskrit and practice. To master any language we need community or people who can speak the same language which we want to learn. This institute should be free in my opinion and when students learn sanskrit from institute then new institutes should be opened so those students can teach Sanskrit there. I leant English also from One NGO that teaches English In free and they hire from outside but they give priority first to those students who learnt English from their Institutes. 2. Wherever in Bharat there is no discrimination against Sanskrit or hate against Sanskrit Schools should be established where children will study in sanskrit and their mother tongue like we all today in urban bharat, we study subject in English and respective state language. We have replace English to Sanskrit by this model we can boost the acceptance of Sanskrit in whole Bharat. 3. If anyone can convince platform like KuKuFm or audible to launch audiobook in Sanskrit. It can also boost Sanskrit Language. We all learn English by watching movies and listening songs 4. There is enough literature in Sanskrit, I agree but a young mind does not want to read scriptures, Vedas, Upanishad. They want to read interesting stuffs, novels, fiction, non-fiction, science and technology stuffs. Until and Unless we translate all those stuffs in sanskrit and present to children, we cannot boost adaptability of Sanskrit In Bharat. 5. Today most programming language is in English. We have to develop Programming language in Sanskrit also. If current Government of India is serious about to revive Sanskrit as National Language or at least give the place of English to Sanskrit then they can make at least $10 billion fund to develop programming in Sanskrit. They can build team of computer scientist who can develop programming language in sanskrit. 6. Government of Bharat or people of Bharat should setup one big institution which will coin new words or vocabulary of today in Sanskrit so our Sanskrit language will not become like Hindi where all sorts of words are mixed due to various reasons. 7. If people or GOI anyone can start opening digital libraries or physical libraries for sanskrit language specifically where people can go and study subjects in Sanskrit. 8. If anyone reads this comments so please checkout the channel "Project Shivoham". It is mind-blowing change. It will tell you how advanced ancient Bharat in Science. It has made videos on many topics. 9. Government of Bharat or People of Bharat anyone should start incentivising those creators, writers, singers, producers, directors, speakers or many people like them who create anything in Sanskrit. It does not matter they are translating English Books to Sanskrit, Bollywood Songs in Sanskrit, dubbing movies in Sanskrit or any other thing. At first quality will be poor but we have to stay together so after a certain period of time there quality will be top notch. 10. KOO is working on many regional language and one of them is Sanskrit . After that we can write in Sanskrit also. That will be great but if we can convince or pressurize big tech platform to integrate Sanskrit also on their platform then it can change trajectory for Sanskrit Language. 11. Intentionally or Unintentionally previous government tried to kill Sanskrit language. It was decided when India's Founding father wrote Constitution Of India In English as well as in Hindi but not in Sanskrit. When they wrote in constitution India that is Bharat not Bharat that is India or anything else But I don't know why they chose a foreign words than compare to this land words. 12. We need to build external or internal keyboards in Sanskrit Language like how Chinese made their own keyboards in Chinese. 13. Currently GOI distributes circular in English and Hindi but they should start distributing circulars in Sanskrit also. It can help and give place to Sanskrit In Bureaucracy. Belive it or not in my opinion when past GOI decided to bring English language in Bureaucracy it was decided that a foreign language will take place of a civilizational language. It was decided that past central governments give more value to English than to this Bharat Land's Language. 14. We need to create jobs in Sanskrit language, if we want that every people of Bharat speak Sanskrit not English. Unfortunately because of past policies today to get a job you should know English not your regional language. But if we can reverse English to Sanskrit then I believe it can change trajectory for Sanskrit Language. 15. We have media in English a foreign language, in Hindi, In Punjabi, In Kannada, In Tamil, In Telugu or many other languages but we don't have these media in Sanskrit Language, if we want to boost Sanskrit Language as a wide speaking language in Bharat then we have to build media in Sanskrit. We need to build on TV, Social Media at everywhere In Sanskrit. 16. Translate science books in Sanskrit or white in Sanskrit and distribute it everywhere. 17. If we can convey our msg to big OTT and tell them to add subs in Sanskrit language this also can help Sanskrit language. It can create jobs for those people who understand sanskritr very well. At the end we need to create more jobs in Sasnkrit so more people will speak Sanskrit. 18. If in professional or corporate world people accept Sanskrit not English then it will be a game changer. But I don't know how will it happen. 19. Whosover shares knowledge of our past scripture of Sanskrit if we can help them to share that same knowledge in Sanskrit as well as all other language Of Bharat along with English. 20. If southern part of India hates Hindi, no issues, agree with them, they have right to hate it, but I would urge government of India come up with better plans and skims so they can incentivise Hindi and Sanksrit in southern, western, north-eastern part of India. One way which I think is that Government Of India should talk with south state and north east state, west state, and tell them, we will put all their language in front of children since 1st class only, they can choose their language and learn in northern part of India. They can change language in 6 class and 9 class as well, but these southern, western, north-eastern part of India they also should introduce Hindi and Sanskrit till at least 12th class not till graduation at least for now. Lastly, we need to monitor those people also who try to spread hart or wrong information about Sanskrit, we need to file defamation case against them if we want to save Sanskrit language.

This is one of best video I listened about Indian languages. Kudos to host and guest for this wonderful session but just highlights few points about Hindi language that, Hindi is dying its own land but last government did not put enough effort to save Hindi from English. Just see the outside world. Most billboards around the country are in English not in Hindi and compare to other countries where billboards are in their respective languages. Hindi is unable to evolve itself or coin new words like other languages, for example Hebrew (a dead language for decades but today is alive in Israel), Japanese or Chinese. Hindi is unable to cope up with English in coining new words, English adds 1000 words every year in the dictionary but Hindi does not. For example (Selfie, Startup, Entrepreneurship, Hustle, content creator, influencer, social media and many more) these all are English words, and today we do not have Hindi words for them. Language gets built on streets not in studios and English gets by people on streets and Hindi is getting built in studios which is also killing Hindi. Today, an average Hindi speaker can’t speak properly without using English. They all rely on English to speak. The more English you learn, the more Hindi vocabulary fades away in subconscious mind. You have to go find those Hindi words but the opposite happens with English words, they are on tip of tongue. They are ready to come out. Today we use Hindi just to use pronouns, otherwise most verbs are replaced by English. Today, at every formal place, people are more comfortable to speak in English or Hinglish but not in Hindi due to many reasons. Mostly comments on the internet in English not In Hindi. This is another signal that Hindi is dying, to write anything you need to think in that particular language and collect all thoughts and today people think in English and write in English not In Hindi. If Debates happen in colleges or schools students prefer to do debates in English not In Hindi. It is not because Hindi does not have words to describe. We Indians today are more familiar with English words than Hindi words. See, what happens when someone speaks near to pure Hindi, how people see and perceive them. If you try to use Hindi language on computer or mobile, you get uncomfortable, and change it. Another reason Hindi is dying in a fast changing world. Till today we could not develop our Hindi Laptop Keyboard or Hindi Desktop Keyboard which the Chinese did. Still we rely on software to type in Hindi. Another reason Hindi is dying a slow death in this fast changing world. See all the intellectual talks which are happening on National Television or on KZbin or On What’s app or in Colleges, They are mostly In English and Hinglish but very less in Hindi. See all new startups and shops around you, they have English names not Hindi. (Paytm, Cred, Groww, Ola, Oyo, MakeMyTrip, Zerodha, and list goes on and on) Another reason for dying Hindi is, systematically cutting off Hindi from Jobs, Business, education and Judiciary. (Still today to be a lawyer you have to be good English Speaker otherwise you can’t be a lawyer, Our so called founding father who mostly were anglo-philes, they intentionally or unintentionally killed Hindi when they decided to write constitution in English along with Hindi not only in Hindi. Sometimes, I feel India did not have any visionary leader who predict where world will go. People admire Nehru ji but I don't know why, except one or two achievement he did not do any thing significant thing he made blunders only. He tried to make Hindi as national language, faced protest and got back and made English a link language. What he should do he should have incentivised people to learn Hindi. Just like people don't learn English because they have love for English language it's just there are incentive for learning you can get job easily not in your country even outside also, for a long time state machinery also wanted English speakers. Now you can get education of doctorate or engineering in Hindi, not in past 75 years of Independence, The civil servant of UPSC which produces those candidates which help government to run this country, their exams also used to happen only in English till few years back) As an ongoing civilization we are getting more comfortable in English Language than our Indian Languages.

When people are trying to divide Bharath based on Language and not letting us unite as a nation. Here Dr. Balram Shukla Sir shared ways on how language acts as a bridge to unite people. In old times Sanskrit united Bharath. It can happen again. Sanskrit is miss represented as the language of elites.
