People like Tripathi ji is the only reason why we should read more and more of Sita Ram Goel and Ram Swarup ji literature in this era. It is more apparent after listening this talk on "Dharma". Acharya ji too "well versed" in Sanatan scriptures and mostly academic. But at the same time he seems ignorant of what menace Abrahamic/Semitic religions pose to very existence of Hindu roots. Money bring burai to loudspeaker from Temples. Typical leftist views. We are not living in 100% Dharmik society. Even in 100% Dharmik society Shankaracharya took it head on with other Dharmik thoughts. The problem with being too self critical is you even miss the big picture of other side. This is a pan-hindu problem. Historically most of our Gurus (few exceptions offcourse) and Hindu scholars failed in this duty to Sanatan. Let me quote Sita Ram Goel ji here -- "If some Hindu thinker had studied the scriptures of Islam and perceived the behaviour pattern prescribed in them, he would have warned his society that the Hindus had to deal not with mad people but with gangsters fanaticized by Islam. very nice talk, but to implement this on ground is not possible. There are hyenas attacking our dharma everyday, first we have to protect whatever dharma is left and then go on to discuss and implement nitty gritty of Dharma. The view that many Dharms have been abound in our history and they stogether are the forester Dharm of India is confusing and troublesome. The goal of one supreme god is to u if the various tribes and clans in the Abhrahmic context. This just didn’t happen in the Indian context. We can just accept this and move on. But we find our scholars conjure up with excuse after excuse for this by saying we accepted all views. This is demonstrably false. The Buddhist’s were persecuted by brahmanic followers. Jains were persecuted by the same. To suggest that all views were freely accepted is to deny the lived historical experience of Buddhist’s and Jains. I think people who have started to call themselves “Hindus” are aware of this reality. Which is why a homogenization process has started among them. One language, one kind of treatment of all temples, of all dharms. They get rid of any that disagree with this reality.
