Excellent materials are used throughout, including the case. Reminds me of a rugged Casio calculator case. Japan still makes the best electronics! Nice trick they did with the calibration potentiometers, access through the board. Top one is for DCV, near the middle is ACV. The door is oh-so easy to operate and protects the meter from hazards in a drawer or in your pocket. A real winner for basic multimeter duties. The display is beautiful, just like all Sanwas!

one thing that surprised me was the bargraph speed, wow that is fast for such a tiny meter! awesome Sanwa! the probes of PM11 are cute, smartly designed too.

It's such a rarity to have a bargraph on such a small multimeter too..yes, great job!

A great shirt pocket meter for the tech who gets around on the job and not always at his bench.

PM11 case design has style with smart design added. I like their test leads too. They are very ergo and precise for chopstick measuring. Bargraph welcomed. As always sir, great detailed review!

A nice meter for such a small package. The bargraph makes up for some of the slow ranging in resistance, but that said, it could be better. One of those little gas discharge tubes or a small MOV might fit between the red probe input lead and the black probe input lead on the component side of the board for added input protection, but it might have a clearance problem due to the selector switch. Anyway, great review.

@@KeepOnTesting Thanks Darren, I'm a bit long in the tooth now for new tricks. But still like your videos tremendously. I may try and do the DIY multimeter kit, if a soldering station ever turns up from China 🥴

If they provide it in dark chocolate brown colour, it would look tasty because of those ridges on the front.

Hi. I'm currently looking for a replacement for my stolen KYORITSU pocket size tester. Actually considering the HIOKI 3244-60 or SANWA PM11 . Which one do you recommend?
@KeepOnTesting Жыл бұрын
Argh..sorry to hear that .. Hands down the Sanwa is superior. I've had both and the Sanwa has a much better display ..faster to range and just feels superior 😊👍

Darren, remember back when you were strident in your criticism of Sanwa multimeters "from Japan" when they were made in China? Yes it was sellers choice but later after a couple of freebies from Sanwa, your Made in China annoyance dissipated.That's a red flag for me. It's a sweet way for companies to put former trusted reviewers on their side. They don't lose, you don't lose but . . . but we the viewers do lose. We lose yet another trusted voice who used to tell it like it is. It's another that was then, this is now scenarios. To regain trust you could begin by not taking freebies and do independent, unbiased reviews of meters you actually buy yourself, of whatever brand. Too many minions on KZbin as it is. Last point, this is not a value for money meter and is overpriced. I said that, not you.
@KeepOnTesting2 жыл бұрын
Jed ... I'm more strident now than ever before. I've seen firsthand how the Sanwa factory in China goes through extremely high QA Sanwa checks before sending out these instruments. Unfortunately.. to stay competitive it's hard not to outsource some parts of production. Fluke does the same thing and so does everyone else. I'll tell you the quality is still there and you can put a whole lot of pride in the fact that Sanwa Test equipment is still some of the best out there. I take offense when you imply that because I get to keep alot of gear after reviewing that I'm somehow tainted. That's pure BS. If you saw my SANWA-AMERICA.COM Review week you know that only 1 multimeter got 4 stars. That's because I tell them like it is. Sanwa has never ever tried to buy my vote ..far from it. They respect my opinion and always have high praise for constructive criticism.

Did you even see my review on the Sanwa YX360TRF? kzbin.info/www/bejne/jZCmYWCrlNarkLc This meter was made in Japan and did abysmal. 😳 I spoke exactly how I felt about this meter..as always. Thx for watching 👀
