Doubt much - if any - money could be made from doing this. I just had a quick look on Ebay and to get a vintage cassette player isn't cheap. Then factor in all the components you'd need to upgrade it, make it Bluetooth capable, batteries if you want it portable etc Not worth it to sell, but great for your own project I suppose.

Hi....sir amazing I like your job....sir plz help me I have sony MHC-DX-10 how to assemble & install bluetooth and USB.
@teddyhashee6 жыл бұрын
Here is a text I wrote the other day for the other person who wants to do the own Bluetooth mod. Hope it will help you. ------------------- Adding Bluetooth in the boombox, you need to think about 3 things. 1) Where you want to put Bluetooth signal into the system. 2) Where do you want to bring the power to the Bluetooth module. 3) And finally, how do you eliminate the ground loop noise. If you cover these 3 things, your DIY project will go well. If your model does not have a AUX or LINE IN, so you need to find out where you want to inject Bluetooth music signal in. I used volume slider for the input, but you can find another place. Because if you use volume slider controller, when you play the bluetooth, the meter will not work. So if you want meter to work with music, you need to find the input place before the volume controller. Probably selection switch that will set the radio for FM, AM, SW1 and SW2, you can check this place for the possibility of the input. Or before that selection switch, etc.. The power, you can bring from the poser sauce. I used car usb charger, because it will do the good work for me. Just connect power to them then they will reduce the voltage to 5V. So I can use usb type bluetooth module. you can also use stepdown module to reduce the power to 5v. And eliminate the groundloop noise, you have 2 option. Use the DC-DC isolation module, or groundloop noise elimination module such as MPOW. Here is a parts list for you. Bluetooth 2.0 to 4.0 which ever you want to use. I like this one. amzn.to/2QNAkq9 USB car charger amzn.to/2Nx9Qv0 This one handle from 12V to 24V and reduce it to 5V or use stepdown module Buck converter stepdown module amzn.to/2xvTuIP or this one is linear type amzn.to/2NASy08 google by yourself what is the difference between both above stepdown module Toggle switch 6 pins amzn.to/2OHl1O4 If you want to add LEDs along with Bluetooth, buy some LEDs and resistor and use usb cable to connect it to the car charger. When you turn on the power, both bluetooth and leds will be on. Probably when you read my email, still you need to research more information by yourself. But it will be a fun for you to figure out what to do in order to make your mod success. Enjoy your journey

Oh, wow! So much to comment on this one. Where to begin? I'm in love with this boombox. This one is a looker! Real tweeters! Not those piezo micro sound B.S. normally found on consumer products. These tweeters are directional, too. What a cool gimmick! I absolutely love those enormous chrome dust caps on the speakers, also. Very epic! Maybe I haven't mentioned it before, Teddy, but it's a very nice attention to detail that you tend to use blue LEDs on your bluetooth mods. It's very sensible because not only it highlights the BLUEtooth function, but whenever those LEDs come on they immediately change the look and feel of the boombox in question. Like "There's a very cool mod going on here in no uncertain terms". Awesome work, man! Cheers!

Just a quick question I never remember to ask when I watch you videos. When you do these bluetooth mod, is it possible to record what comes from bluetooth to the tape deck? Does it depend on the boombox in question? Thanks!
@teddyhashee6 жыл бұрын
When I found boomboxes that are pretty damaged and abused, I restored them and added Bluetooth function to shine them more than before. It like I am giving them a second life with a new weapon installed to survive today's life style. However, I tend to keep original style if the are really rare model that hard to find and still in good condition. Recently I restored HITACHI boombox which is rare for me, I just restored them by adding nothing but just keeping original style.
@kevinpotter78995 жыл бұрын
No reason why it cant work ..just as long as you introduce the signal upstream of where the recording signal for the heads originates.. all boomboxes of this era will work because you can get into the circuit / PCB easily and hardware is used to change the signal source

the bluetooth partslist. i already found the manual :)
@teddyhashee6 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the delay. i was quite busy running around and could not have a time to sit down and write the lists. Simple way that I do in the film, you want to find the parts for 1) Powering up the Bluetooth (and if you want to, for the LEDs light together), I use car USB jack for 12V to 24V that will reduce voltage to the 5V. For the Bluetooth, I buy USB type Bluetooth adapter along with goundloop noise eliminator. Also you need to have a 6 pin toggle switch. Depending on the place you put the Bluetooth signal in, you need resistor or volume control type of the resistor to reduce the signal size. Here is a kind of list from Amazon. amzn.to/2CTStif amzn.to/2CwEDRE amzn.to/2yMLaVa amzn.to/2NQ7fHL These are main parts you need. Teddy
