Unfortunately when he came about kaino was coming to the end of his career but was an unstoppable force plus ardie was still there until the last world cup plus a few others so it was hard for him to break into the all blacks

As a Saffa I've been enjoying SR Pacific much more than URC, especially the NZ teams. Now that the Crusaders aren't so dominant, I would love to see Saffa teams back in the mix. It always felt like I was watching a test if one of the strong Saffa sides played one of the strong NZ sides.

Simple and effective from the blues. Good carries from the forwards, Plummer looking for the easy yards when they were on offer to get them into chiefs territory, and mounting pressure until points were on offer. They maintained the pressure for the whole game. Well done Blues.

Congratulations Blues, the forward game they play is exactly what NZ rugby needs, the forwards were all excellent in the conditions and nullified the chiefs game, great game by Plummer in the conditions as well. We knew it was coming and they played as expected. Chiefs were holding on at half time game was over, they did not handle the conditions and played their final last week, over all wasnt a great final compared to Northern Hemisphere recent rugby finals but weather was a shocker. Only negative of the game was Tony Johnsone nauseating commentary...

We are in the same boat! Saders is my most favourite franchise in NZ. They had a tough 2024 season at the departure of Robinson. I am sure they will bounce back in due course. They're a proud franchise 😎!

Blues aren't necessarily that big around the rugby world or NZ despite being based in the biggest city in NZ. Them not being big is partly because they compete with the Warriors who play in the NRL and their drought of winning. Crusaders and arguably Chiefs would be bigger, because the Chiefs have the biggest SRP (Super Rugby Pacific) superstar Damian Mackenzie. Although I have no doubt Blues winning a championship recently will bring more attention and maybe grow their fanbase
