Sao Miguel, Azores | Cha Gorreana, secret waterfall & Furnas | Episode 06

I explored the Azores, a Portuguese archipelago of 9 islands in the Atlantic Ocean for 2 weeks. This video shows my visit to the Cha Gorreana tea plantation and factory. I visited a secret waterfall near Furnas and I explored the most dangerous volcano area of the Azores; Furnas where you can find the fumaroles and Grena Park.

Wow didn’t realise that there was a tea plantation in Europe. I had imagine it was only in Africa or Asia would have this. Interesting to note that it’s the men who are collecting the tea leaves outdoors rather than the women, who generally do it in Asia and Africa.

The women work inside the factory. I think it’s because the machines picking the leaves are too heavy…
