It's just your surroundings you get used to. You can look at Taylor Swift for example. She used to have a very, very southern accent when she lived in Nashville for years, but once she moved away from the South, she has a very well-rounded American accent. Same with Lauren Cohan who is British-American. Her accent fluctuates in interviews all the time.
