I love how weird anthony green made Translating The Name. The instrumental sounds like a relatively normal song and the vocals are just disjointed and weird. It oddly has a charm to it

Ive noticed the weird thing about metal/hardcore music from the early 2000s (like this) is that even tho its 20 years old, the same time away as '83 is from '03, it sounds way more modern by comparison

I agree, post-hardcore is super fresh still. There was no synth, no pretentious 90’s genre-blending, just a bunch of kids at the forefront of the internet with raw instruments, talking about forever relevant relationship or emotional issues.
