why'd you choose those mics? just curious. those particular mics are an interesting choice for music. we usually use them for broadcast/spoken word and stick with like the c414's, baringers, or even sm 7b's or 48's for vocals. any particular upside you've found for these with singers?

yes, this is live broadcast acoustic , authentic, feel the crack, sloppyness alot of midwest emo band, their vocal just plain singing, yelling of course its out of tune, but yeah thats how midwest emo is just go search midwest emo cover, their fans also sing it with that yelling style too
