Nice post! The band deserves more credit for their musicianship! That’s one thing as a Saosin fan that has always disappointed me is how much the conversation is fixated on the vocalists (Cove and Anthony are both awesome) and not on Saosin’s instrumentals. Many who credit TTN as their favourite record focus almost entirely on Anthony’s stellar vocal performance (which was awesome) without also talking about how fantasic and unique the band’s playing was on the EP. For example, TTN is their most metal-influenced and up-tempo record which may be why many love that record over the others, but that’s rarely talked about. I enjoy all their releases for different reasons so I wish more talked about the band’s playing for why they love the music 🙏
