Mount directory n installation directory both are connected via soft link. However the installation folder is more specific to work process logs , dispatcher log , ICM , gateway logs etc and troubleshooting perspective.

I appreciate your efforts in educating people!! But seriously?? Use root just because it has all the privileges?? And then tell viewers that rm -rf * is OK?? Not good practice at all. Far better to use the sap application sidadm user for a bulk of the work and only if necessary use a properly configured sudo to remove any exceptions that may exist. Please, rm -rf * as root is NEVER OK!!

You can double check the video. I have clearly stated either you can cleanup from sidadm or root. I don't see any harm in rm-rf for someone with basic Linux skills. And being a administrator basis folks should have root access. I understand your concern, some might delete the files accidentally. That's the reason I have uploaded the hands-on video so that everyone will be aware what to delete and what not to delete
