Apparently, it wasn't the best time to visit Sapa due to the wet and foggy weather but it was a nice and chill escape to experience winter in South East Asia 😂 Might not have enjoyed the scenery to the fullest but we definitely enjoyed the food and the very hospitable and lovely Vietnamese people.
Our biggest recommendation for food in Sapa: LITTLE SAPA RESTAURANT
Every meal there never failed. We went there so often that on the last day, the lady boss gave us a discount 😂♥️
Yummy restaurant was really good too!

Thank you! Yes!! Very cheap! We walked around most of the time but took the open taxi, veryyyyy cheap. Less than $2 for a short distanced ride. We never paid more than $3 for taxi in Sapa

Dame, 8 hours in the cold because the hotel room is not available, was gonna do an overnight, but after reviewing night train and night bus coach, decided to just stick with liminous bus....at least I have a good night sleep by arriving in the afternoon. Thank you.

Hi, may i know is sapa there has food stall open early? Lets say 6am or early than 6am around town area.

The day we arrived there was a stall near our accommodation (my gallery boutique hotel & spa) that was open but I don’t remember many stores opened at that time. Not sure about the heart of the city centre because we only ventured out after having a really slow breakfast that morning.

@daffodilwan Hi! I’m looking at booking kadbus for my return trip from sapa to Hanoi too! Do you have any reviews of the bus/cabins after taking it? Also, did you encounter any problems booking through Vexere?

Hi Pauline! No issues with booking via Vexere at all. We keyed in our accoms hp number on the app as we didnt have a vietnamese phone no. When we went last year it was really clean! Also very spacious for 1 pax. You can book one "bed" for 2 pax but you can only book the bottom bunk for this. When my friend went just recently, she did say it was big and clean too! Hope this helps~

Hi! I know it’s a bit late, but do you recall how do you travel to Lao Cai station from Sapa town? Can I book a Grab ride there, or hail a cab etc?

Hello! Our bus stopped quite close to Lao cai and there were taxis waiting when we got off our bus. For our trip from the hotel to Lao cai train station, Chapa Express arranged a private car to pick us up. There is a shuttle bus option as well You can let them know in the email and they will arrange it for you. Hope this helps!

Hello! Thank you! :)) Yes we did! The sleeper bus picked us from the airport. We left around 22:50 and arrived in Sapa at around 03:50. But they let you sleep in and will start waking you up at around 6 or 6.30am to get off the bus.

@@daffodilwan Is the bus arrived in Sapa town or Lao Cai town? Bcos, i saw in some videos, the train stopped at Lao Cai train station and they continue the journey to Sapa town using private car or minivan.. Wonder if same for the sleeper bus too.

If I recall correctly, the bus stops in Sapa itself. We took a really short cab ride (about 5mins) to our hotel from where the bus stopped. But the train station is 1 hour away from Sapa city centre via car.

I booked on b**k*w*y few days ago for my Sapa trip on May but I have a problem where my booking was pending for almost 24hours and I couldn’t contact their cust service so I decided to cancel it. I also tried to contact Sao Viet from Facebook but apparently they can’t understand English and ignored my msg 😂, so I’m trying find another website. I will try to buy from Vexere then!

Oh dear! Maybe you should try booking through the Vexere app. You’d get a receipt and the day of your booking, a Khadam bus company admin will WhatsApp you for confirmation as well as your flight details (if you’re getting picked up at the airport).

Hi! it depends on which on which one you choose. if it's 2 pax, you have the option of having a 2 bedder or a 4 bedder. if you pick a 4 bedder, it'll be bunk bed style and you might have to share the small room with strangers.

Hello! I'm not sure if it will be as cold as when we went in December, even though I doubt so. Maybe just slightly warmer? Apparently the best time to visit Sapa is from Sep-Nov :)

Hello! We downloaded this app called Vexere to book the Khadam bus service. You will have to put a contact number in so we just keyed in our accommodation contact. Hope this helps! :)

You’re paying a lot more for a smaller “bed” in comparison to the sleeper bus but at least you have your own “room” in a sense (that’s if you’re not bunking in with anyone else) and the bed is softer than the sleeper bus. + free snacks on the train. Oh but, I do remember a family a few cabins away from us talking really loudly and we could hear it from our bunk, and if you’re a light sleeper, you might not be able to sleep well from the noise of the moving train. If no one is snoring in your sleeper bus, it might be a more peaceful ride 😂 with that said, I really enjoyed Chapa express train!

Hello!! I think it’ll be just as foggy! We went late December last year too and it was really foggy 😅😅😅 apparently the best time to visit Sapa is in September and October. And yes, it was quite cold when we were there.
