What thickness thermal pad is placed on VRAM processors and what conductivity W/mK ? I don't put thermal paste on the main GPU.

It cannot be used on gpu. 6W/mK. See video description.

Hey bro try to put hy510 thermal pastr on saphire rx470 gpu so its good or bad?
@z.zabojnik
@z.zabojnik Жыл бұрын
Anything better than the old one. But HY510 has a low thermal conductivity of only 1.93 W/m-K...Just try if you don't have different options.

I use Cooler Master paste, the temperature drops to 65 and after playing two or three weeks it returns to 82, what is the reason please🥰

This will probably be the problem that Phenos wrote about. Very liquid thermal paste (viscosity).

Nicely done, i watched the vid without translation subtitles so it was vision only. After repasting 100's of devices i recommend higher viscosity thermal paste with manual spread which might be a bit difficult if not used before because an high viscosity paste with the otherwise optimal X pattern might not fully cover a large chip area when placing the heatsink, dry corner. Low viscosity paste has a high risk of thermal pump-out effect on high temperature 80'C+ direct-die devices. (Thick paste is a good thing on hot GPU's/gaming consoles and that's why manufacturers use it for better long term stability (Shin-Etsu X23-7921-5 industrial paste, IC-Diamond (hard to find nowadays and might give little scratches on the surfaces), Thermalright TFX, Arctic Ceramique 2, the good old Arctic Silver 5, Prolimatech PK-3, lasts longer). And if you want a very long stable high temperature drop with minimal pump-out effect i recommend the Honeywell PTM7950 Phase change preformed thermal paste sheet, as a repair shop i switched to huge sheets of this material bought from ebuy7. google "PTM7950 legion 5 reddit". In the past i used MX-4/kryonaut and other easy to spread pastes on laptops and cards but on modern high base temperature direct-die devices (especially 80+'c), the temperature becomes higher after a couple of weeks and those pastes degrade quickly and sometimes fully pumps out to the edges with a puddle of separated silicones left on the chip, uniformity/flatness/contact pressure on the die and coldplate also plays a role for paste stability. On desktp CPU's those pastes are fine.

Thanks for the comment and advice. This is the first card I've ever pasted. I have an RX 470 as a backup gpu. My main gpu is on claim. I also wanted the best for the RX 470, which I know run in the rig (I bought it at an auction). I usually own the cards for 3 years and then change them, so I usually don't need to change the new thermal paste and pads because they are always fine after 3 years :-). Thanks again for the advice, they will certainly come in handy in the future (the biggest problem was finding a suitable thermal pad).
