Clannad ruined my perception on love. I realized that love could be very beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time. This anime is truly awesome. I almost gave up on it because it got so boring but I didn't because it got so good. I can't believe an anime can make someone so emotional for at least a year.. 😭

Yeah, in retrospect I don't know how I got through it, because I really had never tried watching anything like romcom sort of shows, and it was slow/cheesy through the first season, but my gosh I'm so glad I did! Afterstory was just absolutely incredible, and I don't think I could have appreciated it as much if I hadn't watched the whole show from the beginning.

No I really don’t think you understand how much I cried during the Clannad After Story. This was the crying where I couldn’t stop no matter how hard I tried. And I’m not talking just a few tears I’m talking full blown waterfall of tears non-stop for hours. My eyes were so puffy I couldn’t see, my nose was running, and my chest hurt so badly I could hardly breathe. No anime has EVER done that to me. EVER. It was 2:30 in the morning so I had to be really quiet, but my parents came in to find me like this thinking something terrible happened. They were so worried, they asked what was wrong then I said: “FICTIONAL CHARACTERS” And I was cursing under my breath at my friend who recommended this anime to me.

No anime hit me harder and affected me longer than Clannad Afterstory. It made me realize things about myself I wasn't ready to accept. And when I finished it, this is was the first song that came to mind. Clannad is a beautiful anime that realistically should only be watched when you feel like you're at a crossroads in life. It's most enjoyed if you're in the head-space to grow, but also to be vulnerable.

It's very much an emotional roller coaster. It does have it's happy moments, funny moments, and the sad moments are what stands out the most, but it is one of the best in my opinion, I highly recommend watching it :)

I know I just watched an amv I have had no knowledge of, but this story just broke my heart and broke me down to tears. It was beautiful and I am sure you did this anime justice. This story literally showed me everything I always wanted, and then watching it be ripped away forever. It is so sad and powerful.
