Hakumen is always gonna be jin but its jin that travels to the past and becomes him during the darkwar time, its more like a looped future for jin till the looping in CT was broken so it made jin become his own dude while haku just exists till the world starts to reject him since there can't be 2 versions of the same person in the world itself so it tries to erase haku after CS
