I have had so many real life traumas as a literally orphan female with disabilities who lived on the streets since 15..this included being robbed , almost kidnapped a few times & SA & life threatened & so forth. . Even if children couldn't provide consent, that would only explain why pedophile is wrong (under the false assumption that sexual ethics can be reduced to individual autonomy) and not why it is so wrong. Children are made to do things without their consent constantly. Children are told what to wear, what to eat, when to go to sleep, made to go to school, told what kind of media they can and cannot consume, told off for saying the wrong things. But all these things are what any good parent must do, in defiance of the child's will. If the issue is merely consent then they should all be the moral equivalence of pedophile, which is obviously untrue.
