To me it gave 96 vibes a lot,bit more violent and realistic. But also to me the stalkarish behavior was way more understandable for Manu than Ram ,as Priya and Manu were in a full fledged adult relationship and faced such hard times together whereas Ram and Jaanu had high school infatuation ,maybe very dear affection which many people experience . But still in both cases I felt protagonists were going out of their way for lost relationships, I agree Manu has nothing else to look forward to in life ,but still he came across Surabhi and gave up on that. Again someone who has been in Love might be better audience for both these movies unlike an ignorant prick like me.

In Kannada , it is dreamy sequence of course...; l have no idea about other language versions. I also don't know why 25% of the title is deleted ! The whole title is taken from a famous poetry of Dr. Gopala Krishna sir, which was used earlier in the ninties movie "America America " a Ramesh Aravind starrer. Saptha = 7 = Seven, Saagaradhache = Kadalthaandi, Ello ? = Engeyo ? For me, without engeyo the message is incomplete.

This movie thematically and emotionally is a huge inverse copy of the film Drive, where the protagonist silently and intensely loves the girl enough to protect her from her prisoner husband’s bad guys. Drive. Was a masterpiece and so is this.
@knight79410 ай бұрын
Wow. Amazing connection to drive. It has a similar premise too if you think about it. Btw you've got a nice eye for these things.
@avantshiv8 ай бұрын
But in drive Ryan falls in love the midway of Carey's life, I mean she is married with a kid and husband is not in the picture. Here Manu and Priya have a history together. By your logic I can say Shakti is also similar to SSE and drive because there SRK gives up everything to save Karishma and her child
The film was a bit lag,, it's depicting how Manu's life is a lag without Priya at starting. But once surabhi enters the film dynamic changes. If the film maker want to create a little commercial film,,he would have created few scenes of how Priya's life is now,, how she combated things after her marriage. But hemanth has his vision to write each scene. Most of the audience didn't understand these type movies. Most of the audience want priya and manu to reunite otherwise manu should take revenge on the antagonists of his Life and he should love someone else and they should be happily ever after. But this man is different ,, hemanth is a different writer than us.😂 He wrote reality.... reality which we people don't accept and expect filmy things to happen atleast in the film.

I’m gonna watch this movie today in sometime… I donno about the movie but I must appreciate your review… Quite sometime ago I Stopped watching reviews. My benchmark some 5-6 years ago was Rajiv Masand… You have set a new benchmark with this… Other than your review, what I enjoyed is people’s comments and comments for comments for the first ever comment in this review… It’s very funny… how people fight with cuss words… Editing my comment: I watched the movie… It’s damn slow paced when Manu stalks Priya… each and every statement in this review is apt… That violet fight was out of place… Felt unnecessary… One point, I was overwhelmed with manu’s unconditional character.. At the end, had a felling that, it’s just a mediocre movie with good music and cinematography… it’s a one time watch for me… No one prefers to feel sad again and again. People want happiness. I would prefer watching Kantara multiple times, but this is one time watch…

This movie SSE Side B truly stays with us for long for its sadness… It made us feel, life is like a prison, dungeon. I went for the hype. People go for movies to feel good… How good the acting may be… Except that “Prakasha’s” situational dialogues there is no humour. No comedy scenes… Even in the life of people, who faced cruelest of cruelest fortunes, would have laughed at some point of time… It may win national awards or oscars, but it makes the viewers saddest to the core

Loved the scene where Manu and Priya meet in cafe and comfort each other by lying. It was beautiful. My belief is it is manu’s dream and not real :) Couldn’t hold back tears when Priya starts singing in the end. Loved the songs and the symphonic background music. Both Surabhi and Priya were beautiful in their own ways. The way in which Manu takes revenge on Prabhu anna was really good. Prakasha’s character added a subtle humour, which is a great comic relief to an otherwise intense film.
