Christian McCaffrey rookie year was 2017. Saquan Barkley was 2108. Both took a year off rehabbing. McCaffrey was at his best behind the San Fran line and system. I think Barkley would be the same with the Eagles. They also need to get him open on dump passes to get those legs moving. San Fran O'line ranked 11th in the league. Phillie ranked 1st. Letzgo Saquan.

The Giants had a combined 61% run block win rate with Barkley in the lineup, which ranks 31st in the NFL. Also, Barkley averaged 4.85 yards per carry against the Cowboys despite that horrible O-Line. Philadelphia has been ranked 3rd in run blocking win rate which means we should see exactly what Barkley can do in the NFL. I am excited to possibly see exactly what Barkley is capable of behind a real O-Line.

I've heard New York Giants fans complaining about Barkley going to Philadelphia and calling him a traitor, they need to be all lined up in a straight line and slapped in the face, this guy was begging the New York Giants for multiple Seasons to give him the deal that he was worth, he went out and said that he wanted to be in New York for the rest of his career and they basically spit in his face when they signed Daniel Jones to a long-term deal when everyone knows that he only put up those offensive numbers because Saquon Barkley was his running back.. this guy's been an Ultimate Team player his entire career and I'm glad he finally found a team that values him and will give him a chance to show what he can really do

Listen to this giants fan…..I don’t disagree with the giants letting Barkley go. I like him enough to be ok with him finding success with another organization. He was a great teammate, player and franchise guy. Now to the other situation that I will disagree with you about. The giants found out first hand that no matter how good he was they could not win with his legs alone….yes the Daniel jones contract wasn’t good no one will say it is, but year in and year out we know that when we place injury risk into the equation the rb position will always be the most vulnerable so what do you do…..you pay the qb. The same thing was happening all across the league last year rb not getting big contracts the market changed. The giants needed to part ways because then need to cap room to put in less risky places. Jones got that contract because he had a good season which he couldn’t have done without Barkley sure but Barkley wouldn’t have had as good a season without Jones otherwise he would have been the reason for a season better then 9 wins on his own. Giants have nothing around them….defense is improving but offensively they are a mess. Trust me Jones is on his way out he will be replaced in the draft…..but try not to sound so feminine and sensitive about these issues because after all it’s just BUSINESS.

I will admit I was a little surprised at the amount of money he got especially from Philly but they are swinging for the fences. Seeing what CMC did for San Francisco, the Eagles believe he can have that same type of impact. He was in an awful situation not only with a bad offensive line but absolutely no threats on the outside. Now with Smitty and AJ on the outside he’s gonna see a lot more space in the box. If Hurts gets back to running effectively idk how anyone can defend read option. Yes there is some risk involved but if this hits Philly will be hosting a lot more NFC title games in the future and as an Eagles fan I’m very optimistic
