I believe SARSILMAZ is one of the few if not the only company that purchased the right from CZ to copy their model.. I love the k2 14rd .45acp and takes para ordnance mags..good vid most people are sleeping on this Brand..
@IvanRiveraStagea11 ай бұрын
I believe they licensed Tanfoglio's design, not CZ's. Tanfos and CZs may look the same but the internals are a bit different.
@user-un5my5bw4j11 ай бұрын
@IvanRiveraStagea thats 100% true, all Tanfoglio did was basically clone the frame itself. Other than that made many improvements over the CZ 75 and shadow as well as TS2. Especially with Tanfoglio using stainless swaged match barrels with polygonal rifling making them insanely accurate. I have two Tanfoglio stocklll designs a Defiant Limited Master 9mm large frame, and a Defiant Limited Xtreme .38super. Awsome pistols. I wouldn't mind trying the K12 sport x for the price though
@IvanRiveraStagea11 ай бұрын
@@user-un5my5bw4j Yup! I own both Tanfoglios and CZs. They have a lot of similarities mechanically but the parts, retaining mechanisms, etc. are quite a bit different. Tanfoglio actually made 75-derived race guns first back in the 80s; CZ only followed suit well after the Soviet collapse.
@brandonlind57009 ай бұрын
Sar 2000s and k12s are tangfoglio copies that are better then the original. Tangfoglio is a Cz 75 copy with a bit of sig 210 put into it so it’s a bit of hybrid design. Tangfoglio is a great design but the company’s execution of the design is but sub par. Tangfoglio uses a great design but relatively sub par quality materials. Sarsilmaz took the great tangfoglio design and made pistols with excellent material quality. The barrels, slides and frames are all hammer forged, Cz doesn’t even hammer forge their frames. Modern all non custom shop Cz frames are quality cast frames. SARS are probably the highest quality all steel factory production Cz inspired design on the market. They’re cheaper simply because of the volume they produce for other countries and because the cost of labor is cheaper I imagine where they are produced.

I have a K2, K2C, and CZ 97B. I love Sar I think it’s a quality handgun but it just doesn’t come close to the overall construction of the 97 and both the K2 and k2c jam often if you’re not constantly polishing the feed ramp ramp. I never have that issue with the 97.
@TheColosiss Жыл бұрын
I've had my Sar K2 45 for 7 years. Put nearly 2 thousand rounds of factory and about 2 of reloads... Fantastic. I plink with my Canik TP9sfx more, but my Sar is my go-to .45 when I'm itching for something more than my 115gr plinker.
@TheColosiss11 ай бұрын
@user-tu6fy7kr1y 312 including shipping. It is a 1st gen import so it has SARSILMAZ plastered all over the poor thing in about 7 different ways. The feed ramp and cam grove needed to be polished out of the box. The crown on the barrel also had a slight nick out of the box that I alleviated. No biggie. The K2 uses the same profile magazine as the Para P14 double-stack 1911 magazines. They just use a different follower. So mags are easily sourced. The only issue I've had was the elevation screw for the rear sight snapped off in the cold one time. I was out running drills in Oregon in about 30 degree weather and the screw just snapped.
@TheColosiss11 ай бұрын
@user-tu6fy7kr1y Their machining quality has come a long way so 600 is still a good price. The newer ones have less tooling marks and the QC seems to be squared away. I appreciate how they removed 5 of the SAR logos that were bordering obnoxious.
@ricoreyes65789 ай бұрын
Mine was almost 8 years ago it has cocoa beach , flo on it . Best double stack acp other than para ordinance P14 which was the first double stack .45 1911. Made in the 90s if I am correct .. my friend got that as soon as it came out.. 7 bills for it back then .. also the FN 15rd 45acp has the most rd but it's polymer not steel.and bigger.

@FuzedBox10 ай бұрын
It was the LACK of rail that led me to purchase this. I've owned a Shadow 2, currently have a SP-01 Competition Blue, Jericho 941F BDEIII, and now this one on the way. All of those have rails. I bought this gun purely for its price and aesthetics. Rails are ugly.
@wayzooted10 ай бұрын
@@FuzedBox I really like Sar. I don't own a k12 yet but probably will eventually.
@FuzedBox5 ай бұрын
@@wayzooted Very late response here, but it's a good pistol. At a glance it's absolutely beautiful, but when you start inspecting it closer... you can tell that the machining was rushed. If I was a QC manager at their plant, I would have rejected my slide. They made quite a few cosmetic mistakes that luckily do not affect function. The trigger is certainly not in the same league as $1200+ competition pistol triggers, but it's definitely better than most duty triggers. It could benefit from a shorter reset and 1lb shave off the break. The front post is on the worse side of meh. It really needed fiber optic, and it's too wide for a true competition sight. It's more difficult to acquire than it should be, and renders the benefit of blacked-out rears moot. Chunky black on black is fine for a .22 Ruger pistol, but there's no excuse for it here. I think this pistol would be better if they had stuck with a DA/SA trigger setup instead of hopping on the SA competition bandwagon, just to half-ass it. It's still better than average. What really sours me is that I ordered a Grand Power K100 ($400) on the same day that I ordered this, and that DA/SA trigger has quite possibly the best SA break and reset out of ANY DA/SA pistol I own. Yes, even better than the CZs. It raised the bar and proved what could be done economically. This means that an GP X-Calibur Match is in my future. These criticisms might seem harsh, but they're honest. Overall it's still a bargain. I really do like the pistol; the performance that you're getting for the money is incredible. It's accurate, reliable, ergonomic, has great finish, and it has unique aesthetics not found anywhere else. I do not regret purchasing the K12 Sport X and I won't be selling it. It's good for the price, it's really fun to shoot, and it's an interesting conversation piece.

I was told the k12 blows the shadow2 out of the water and for $400 less. I was told Cz makes shit guns that are overpriced. Sar fan boys are a different breed. Lol. Why would you prefer a gun with a heavier not as smooth trigger, awful iron sights, and no optics cut just to save a few hundred bucks? There’s a reason the Turkish cloned the k12 after the 75 series. I picked up a sar9 for my truck gun bc it was $500 and holds 19 rounds. But dang when I pulled that trigger I was so disgusted. So $100 later in a trigger and spring upgrade, I have a striker fired sar9 that now has an acceptable trigger. But stock for stock the Cz p10 destroys the sar9.

The Sar K12 sport like most DA/SA pistols that Sarsilmaz produced are Tanfoglio clones. The Sar K12 is a direct clone of Tanfoglio Limited, you can use Tanfoglio parts to make it a really good shooter. LOK grips makes grips that fit the K12, Dawson Presision have fiber optic front sight that will work with some fitting. Also Patriot Defence can cut the slide to fit a red dot and is very affordable. I own 4 Sarsilmaz and they all perform great as well as my Tanfoglios.

Dude, this thing is twice the weight of a Glock 19 and much chunkier, along with ginormous gas pedal ambi-safety. There are literally zero IWB holsters being made for this unless you make one yourself, and trust me, you better be wearing a damned tight belt because it'll yank your pants off. Totally different MO. You want a CZ pattern carry gun? Get the new Shadow 2 carry (which is still a chonky boy).
