OP Nayyar used “clapping” to enhance the rhythm in his compositions. Although it was a frequently used feature, it never sounded repetitive. Instead it always sounded energetic and lovable. Wonderful music! Lyrics by Majrooh S are excellent. Mohd. Rafi (who became Shammi K’s voice after this movie) sang from his heart and Asha Bhosle accompanied beautifully. A song to cherish forever!

A wonderfully sung song, unlikely to be matched by someone else. However, comparisons are unfair as most of the singers of 50's, 60's 70's and 80's had unique style and voice. For instance, one can't imagine anyone else matching Kishore's Mere naina...., Manna De's Jeevan se lambe or ai mere pyare watan, or Talat's jalte hain jiske lie .. list is endless.
