Solid gold country! Listen to Bill Anderson’s “Walk Out Backwards,” then listen to Sara’s version. Solid hard country. She did these songs before Nashville made her change her style. They felt that her hard country style was not what the public wanted anymore. Nashville is what happened to country music.

She’s top five female country singers ever, and my personal number one. Hell, I’m not necessarily a country fan, I’m mostly into metal, but I LOVE her old school country style (wish she’d do more like this). She’s fucking outstanding. I’d say, as far as female singers, she’s right there with Karen Carpenter, and I even like her better than Karen Carpenter, who I always considered to be the best female singer, but Sara Evans is just as good. The only other country music I’ve enjoyed, or gotten into was Dewight Yokam...I think I like Sara Evans better, well she’s tied with Dewight Yokam ( he’s a bad ass) I’d love a duet with those two....Have to get Pete Anderson in on that, if it ever happened.
