The magnificent Sara Jordan Powell, and the incomparable, Sir Carl B Preacher, were the perfect, DYNAMIC duo, in my humble opinion! Hands down. They complimented each other, in ways, I have never seen, or heard of, since their time. I mean, Madame Sara - with an angelic presence that immediately captivated the audience as soon as she hit the stage - hit high notes to the third heaven, executed an amazing point blank octave range - and tickled your soul with delightful vocal phrasing. All of which - I didn't know existed before or could even be done! At least, not in gospel. And Sir Carl Preacher - musical genius at it's finest and best - knew EXACTLY where she was going musically - even before she got there, accompanying her, pausing, embellishing, accentuating - running up and down those keys, with flawless, impeccable style, and grace - without overpowering or upstaging Sara. Not many musicians these days, have that type of discipline, particularly, as gifted and talented, as Sir Carl was. Their sound....collaboration....spiritual connected-ness (if there is such a word) - and 'musical anointing'....was the stuff - legends are made of. And indeed, they were - ARE - legends! I'm sooooooo glad - and thankful - that I got to 'experience'..such grace, visited upon planet earth, in my lifetime. Thank you both!!

It just makes me mad with the record industry. Ms Sara should have been a household name. The control alone knocks my socks off.

Man!!!! Carl Preacher!!! I remember him as a child when he played here in Houston at the Christian Hope M.B. Church under the recently late Dr. Herbert Stroman. Christian Hope and Carl Preacher ran Houston on the choir circuit back in the 80s. It was at this church at on the famous 2nd Sunday night musicals that I heard Rev. Paul Jones sing I Won't Complain for the first time live. Let's just say it was a churchy mess up in there. I will never forget that. Wow!!! The glory days of the 80s!!!!

I've always enjoyed listening to Carl Preacher's organ style on the Southeast Inspirational Choir's albums. This is my first time seeing a video recording of him playing. I'm surprised I don't see more videos of him surfacing. He's definitely been under the radar and off the grid. And totally underrated. I would love to see videos's of him playing the organ. Thanks for posting.
