acer ezel was realesed earlier, magic keyboard have two angles - 90° and 130° can not rotating strong as somebody thought. it's not for drawing, it's for typing. in fact soft cover (5$) better for drawing because having 30° then magic keyboard (near 300$)

This is the first video from your channel I'm seeing and god, the reviewer is just really sympathic and has a lot of charisma. I know that's not the point but SUBSCRIBED :3 As for the laptop itself: I want. I want so badly. I don't have room for a workstation and I've been getting really used to laptop work. I have a convertible right now too and it's EPIC but I think the hinge design of the Ezel would REALLY elevate it for me even more. So I do want to save up money for it! I just hope it will be available long enough! and that I can hear more reviews to make sure I won't be making a wrong step with it. Until then I will just buy another keyboard once I move and use my convertible as a screen haha. Budget Ezel. I also don't really want to buy something new if this one is still working so. Fingers crossed this one will be available to buy for a while!

Thanks for the video. This thing was available to buy for about a week in June on Acer's website (six months after CES). I've been intersted in getting this laptop but Acer has been so slow at making more available. Also, the ConceptD Ezel 3 is supposed to be available in August but we've heard basically nothing since Acer's conference reveal over a month ago. It's frustrating that a company shows off a new product, sends it to reviewers, and then makes it difficult to find or buy. I'm losing interest fast Acer.

Disappointment all around. I've been waiting to hear more news and release dates too. It's nice that Sara and Dave2D got the Ezel 7 and Ezel 3, repectively, but what they do focuses more on video editing. Acer needs to send some review units to digital artists so they can really test out the pen feature and responsiveness.

I've had the Acer ConceptD 7 Ezel Laptop - CC715-71-72JD for the past 3+ months. I'm a software developer, DBA, and Video Editor. The screen is nice and bright but using it as a tablet isn't very productive for video editing, or anything where you want the keyboard. Windows Tablet Mode is most useful when you can do everything without a keyboard, but if you need keyboard shortcuts then you're back to notebook mode where you open up to get to the keyboard. And if you're going to use the laptop in notebook mode then I'd prefer a Dell or Lenovo that's slimmer and lighter and cheaper, and better supported. DEAL KILLER - The laptop won't take power from your USB-C dock so you have to keep it plugged into the huge AC Adapter. And I haven't been able to find a 2nd AC Adapter to purchase so I have to constantly carry around the heavy AC adapter that came with it. I would NEVER have purchased this laptop had I known this. There are other faults, such as having to use "Driver Booster", a 3rd party app to install updates. And good luck just finding this laptop to buy because they just trickle out a few here and there. Overall it's a decent laptop but I wouldn't buy this again or recommend to anyone but artists that can just draw all day long without using a keyboard. The main attraction for me was the 2070 GPU, which wasn't offered in the Dell XPS. The Dell XPS 17 offers a 2060 though… I've been spoiled by Dell for a long time and should have stuck with them.

This is for those considering whether or not they should buy this computer I have the i7 16gb RAM (upgradeable to 32gb) 1tb ssd configuration I’ve been using it for over a month now. I bought it with digital art and music production in mind (software’s = photoshop, medibang, krita, Cubase, blender ) It has no trouble running these software’s as is expected from a laptop with this much power and the price there are a few issues with the touch part but its not the kind you expect so please do read on and find out. If you have anything else you want to know just leave it in the reply section to this comment and ill check back every few weeks to answer The keyboard: its nice feels good to type on its silent enough to not be a hindrance but just clacky enough for typers like me who like a bit of audio feedback the backlighting is AMAZING the orange is really nice especially in dark environments . Now the layout of the keyboard is as you would expect anywhere though it does not have a number pad I noticed though that although the @ sign is on the number 2 key when you shift and hit 2 it instead puts out a “ and vice versa and I have found two such misplacements on the keyboard although fascinatingly I got used to it within a day no problem but it is something I am thinking of trying to get fixed The track pad it nice very accurate and smooth although it is not perfectly aligned to the body looks a bit wonky which to a person with ocd like me is quite irritating, but others don’t notice it The speakers are good not extremely loud really just depends on what you are listening to no distortion keeps details in the sound nicely The webcam is shit its really really bad it makes you look pretty but that’s only because its blurry to the point where your hair and skin look perfectly smooth would recommend getting an external one The fingerprint sensor works 60 percent of the time didn’t work at all for a week and so I re-entered it and now it works fine so long as my finger isn’t too oily and such The formfactor is really amazing in my opinion al laptops should be able to do this it’s really convenient. The hinge is really sturdy its fine so far and I’m not on of the most conscious users like I use it in all sorts of positions Its has all the ports you could wish for. The display yes it is 4k but if you aren’t buying this for digital art as one of your main reasons then I would suggest go for some other laptop as the screen has this screen on it which is antiglare and has this grain on it which (is smoother than what you might think after watching reviews)you can see on solid colors and you will notice it a lot in the biggening I almost returned it as it was giving me headaches but after a few days of using it I adjusted and haven’t had headaches since and I don’t notice the grain anymore so yes it is 4k but doesn’t look as 4k as other glass screens can. Now the issues I mentioned earlier are mostly to do with digital programs as if you are using the pen with the side of your bare palm touching the screen every so often the program is going to lag or say not responding as it doesn’t deal so well with too many touches for prolonged periods of time but this issue disappears if you have a drawing glove on The pen is very accurate and is a pleasure to draw with and coming from a no display pen tablet is a treat that will make you squeal and sigh in satisfaction at just a few brush strokes. I was a bit worried as I had seen a lot of people saying it was too thin and gave them wrist pain put I personally LOVE the thickness hasn’t given me any issues in fact I wish my other things were like this I find it even nicer than the apple pencil but this I believe depends on a persons hands and fingers. The colors are really nice Overall I’m really satisfied with this laptop battery life really isn’t bad with mixed use in a 16 hour work day using all of the afore mentioned applications I can get by with two to two and a half charges but really I would recommend this as more of a desktop replacement than a travel laptop For those worried about dirtying the white of the laptop most things will rub of with friction leaving no traces behind and If you do think its gotten too dirty you can wipe the top and the top only with a dry or barely barely damp cloth.

As a person looking to buy one of these I read the comments from the comment section for the video and I came across this: (Since u have the laptop can u confirm this?) """"""""SHE. IS. LYING. I can’t tell you enough DO NOT BUY THIS VERY EXPENSIVE PAPER WEIGHT. The screen does not have palm recognition as Acer claims, nor the 4000 points of pressure (not even 2000), it DOES NOT WORK with other Wacom pens, it has a loud fan and adobe illustrator is impossible to use efficiently with this as a result of the pencil barely working with a hand resting on screen and even then it doesn’t work well. In pad mode it often does not recognize a finger trying to close or open a window so you get stuck in whatever screen you are in and it just won’t work. THEIR TECHNICAL SUPPORT IS HORRIBLE! I mean YOU WILL HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THIS LAPTOP AND NO ONE THERE KNOWS A DAMN THING. For instance, I was speaking to tech about the Wacom pen not working and they asked “What’s Wacom”. I asked for the DEDICATED CONCEPTD 7 tech they CLAIM THEY HAVE AND THAT IS WHO I GOT. Someone who was ASKING ME TO EXOLAIN TO THEM WHAT WACOM TECHNOLOGY IS. Their level 2 staff, Donald from Temple Texas not only kept misgendering me but refused to help me with tech issues with my computer ,when I asked him to not call me sir. He told me he’d have to research why Wacom pens do not work on a Wacom screen which is what the last guy said before going to an Acer user forum and seeing what their customers say because they don’t squat. When asked to be put on the line with a tech support person who knows the product he refused. When asked to speak to his supervisor he refused. When asked to speak to someone to make a complaint against him, he put me on hold and never picked back up and after 30 minutes on hold I got disconnected. So if you buy this junk, you were warned. I’m getting my money back or I’m getting a lawyer. I hope this helps folks avoid making a mistake that could cost you a huge chunk of your savings, especially if you are a design professional. Stay away from this. None of their claims are even REMOTELY TRUE AND SHAME ON ANY REVIEWER LIKE LINUS TECH TIPS AND SARA DIETSCHY for spreading false claims on this product. Whatever they said was untrue and I hope this review also puts their integrity and their reputation in question by any followers they have. Honestly, I’m blaming myself for believing the hype. I should know better by now that tech specs and reviewers are usually full of it. I figured it would still be a solid and reliable beast but this thing IS NOT EVEN AS TOUCH RELIABLE AS AN IPAD OR EVEN YOUR SMART PHONE AND THEIR IS NO TECH ASSISTANCE YOU WILL GET FOR THIS FROM ACER. @@sachinrane4716 it does have palm recognition it works really well with all of my apps although from time to time it does suddenly have trouble but it only lasts for a few seconds and its only with the one app so think its the apps issue,(it doesn't happen if i wear a glove which I'm used to as a digital artist so its really not an issue) not the laptop it does have pressure sensitivity it works very well, in my opinion, I'm saying this coming from a huion h1611 or something drawing pen tablet and it feels much more organic than that but maybe its more the drawing on the display rather than the pressure sensitivity. i myself don't own and have not felt the need to buy a different stylus for the laptop and i don't have a Wacom pen but i did see brad colbow do a review in which he did use a different one from Wacom as he preferred the size so i do think it should work. the technical support i cant say much on as i haven't used it yet but here in India at least they arent really so popular so there arent many service centers. i am going to speak to their support about the keyboard issue i mentioned in my 1st comment i hadn't felt the need to do it but i started coding and it's a bit irritating so I'm going to get it fixed i could update you on that front if you like. the pen works great I've had no issues with the touch either i think maybe they have gotten a faulty unit or something. it does get hot but then the fan comes on and its really not that loud compared to two dells and one of my macs its the quietest plus it is fast at cooling so it rarely runs over five minutes at a time. also what they are saying about touch reliability its screen is matte like so it might feel less responsive but the response time is better than my previous laptops except for the mac that's faster and yes there are delays as a lot of apps are not meant for touch input so it can feel unintuitive at times unlike if you were using an app that's built for touch interfaces on an iPad or smartphone.

Is there an issue with palm rejection for left-handed people? I saw a review that said that palm rejection when making art works well, but... not when you are left-handed. The reviewer said it flat-out did not work. Which would make it absolutely useless for a left-handed artist. Is this something you tested or tried, or something you can still test or try? I would love it if you can enlighten me about this! Because I definitely like this laptop. And yesterday I was sure I would buy it, but then read that review...

Loved the demo!! You really rock!! This is an awesome laptop! Would love it with the 32gb (64gb or more would be nicer! )I will have to look at the SSD /NVME offerings and is it user upgradable... I really want it...The only downside could be the hinge in the middle of the screen.. But only time will tell if it holds up...I really love the pen with a garage! Hi Sara. Thanks for this presentation. It's the first time I chanced upon your video and presentation style (very impressive) vis-a-vis an alternative website I visited describing this product. I presume if it handles Adobe Premiere smoothly, I presume it should do just fine with Blackmagic's Davinci Resolve? (I don't 'buy into' Adobe's forever recurring, software rental business model.) Do you think this could supplant a desktop computer for media production? I would be connecting to two (dual) 4K external monitors (31") and locally to a QNAP server as DAS over USB-C/Thunderbolt. That laptop looks like it would be amazing for editing in Adobe Lightroom! Really love being able to edit photos on my iPad with the Apple Pencil, much more fun, precise, and overall just better experience than using a mouse on a desktop.

You should look at the D9...it's expensive, but everything is better than the D7 and it comes with a wacom emr stylus

Have you tried using on lap? I read the air vents underneath have to be kept clear or overheats, for the ezel 13" anyway. I have a lot of technical reading to do and need to move off the desk often. Hard to get more details since it is so new. Thank you!

Nanogalaxy I'm just replacing my Vaio flip now. This hinge is way better, too, but price is pretty high. Not complaining it's a good value for what you get but right now I have a Samsung Book Flex on order. Love that there are so many options now! When I got the Vaio 7 years ago that was pretty much it lol.

I have yet to see someone use it fully like a cintq. The hinge seems very movable so it doesn't look like it can handle you putting a resting palm on it and hold it's tent position. :(

Touchscreens Laptops are MUCH BETTER! I'm a graphic designer and can´t leave without a touch screen, I recommend to everyone, being an artist with Photoshop or any officers with Word or Excell :) Scrolling webpages and clicking like a cell phone, is completely natural and much faster.

@@sachinrane4716 If you need GPU you buy a 2 in 1 from Lenovo Dell HP or Asus that already have performance 2 in 1 notebooks with graphics GPU. If you don't have the money or don't need performance at max. you can buy any touchscreen notebook with IPS screen full hd with 8gb ram and SSD.. there are a lot on the market

Given the size and power, I wouldn't take this out and about unless it was to a place where I could plug it in. Good desktop replacement that has enough power to do whatever while still being relatively convenient to take out if you need to. I plan on carrying a Samsung tablet for sketching out of the house and can finish up on the conceptd 7 when I get home
